@abcforall ofcourse, I know Daniel wrote it and he's very talented.. I just love Jerry's vocal/guitar style. This is a really cool performance and totally different from the JGB take on it which is more like a full band thing.
Before this I watched Daniel playing with Brady Blade on another version of this tune. This is a great version with Brian Blade. Glad to know Brian and Daniel still jam together.
@mrpc1970: That is so great. There are quite a few talented street musicians in Chicago as well--probably not quite as many as there are in New York. But, every once in awhile, I hear someone playing something off the beaten path, such as this. Always makes me smile and throw them a buck or two.
amo daniel...m,a questa sinceramente per i miei gusti non va proprio....sperimentare va bene...ma questo è troppo poco per il suo genio... nnnnnooo....non mi piace....
Nice Nice Video. I really loved your video. Youtube can be a great asset for you. If you need any help getting your video exposed, check out this site called tubeviews [dot net] It has really done wonders for me, I have built 3 Channels up with videos at top in position and this is my forth channel i'm going to working on.
Dave does have a great rendention of this song. I even heard Daves first actually but you cant knock the original. Everyones inspiration comes from somewhere
@wuzup76020: You know, I'm not a huge fan of DM's music. I just don't care for that style. However, I know he and his band are extremely talented. I think they did a great job covering this track. But yes, I agree, you just can't knock the original.
I was at this very show as they taped live for Direct TV at South By Southwest in Austin, TX. Truly amazing to hear and see Lanois and Blade making, more or less, improvised music together with Lanois's songs as a basic structure point. Truly music as art and not as pop.
Daniel Lanois is Canada's best composer and producer.

I feel bad for those who know D Mathew's cover as the original.
Brian Blade kills in every genre he plays in... truly gifted.

Brian Blade rules, the guy just kills, and Lanois is pretty good too.

the on-stage interaction of these two men is absolutely brilliant. I usually don't pay any attention to drums, but this is fantastic.
Can anyone tell me who the drummer is?

Brian Blade... quite the genius.

This guy singing this song hurts my ears. Dave Matthews' cover rocks balls over this one.

Most likely you heard DM first singing this song. That explains it.
