It seems an odd thing to do, burn a pair of trainers. Even as a protest. After all the labour has already been put into making them so burning them isn't going to bring back the life of the people who made them. Secondly, with the materials trainers are made from it's likely the fumes were toxic to some degree and would of done some damage to the environment. Which in turn would effect those developing countries where such trainers are made as well as all of us.
