  • I love Peter Murphy. With respect, he's coming on too hard in the verses. A lighter touch would be more appropriate. I know, that's what Pete does... Its perfect in the chorus. And he's awesome at it. On "The Passenger" he is on another plane, with his BIG voice.

With IanC I was with him, facing some existential angst, head on. Feels like Pete delivering song here. Ian could do something many "great singers" can't: transport you. Change your reality.

  • great it's hard to beat JD

  • The bass + the drums are totally hypnotic in this song it'could be played everlasting, it'll be no boring at all.

  • great cover..... :)

  • Brilliant

  • I hope Peter tours again!

  • @DarkHorizonStudios Me too.. it would be awesome to see a total reunion too :D

  • LOVE LOVE

  • Love Peter Murphy's version!!!! Great Voice!

  • This song appears in the film THE CROW (the best film in my opinion)

  • @Arthas693

    Not this version, it's NIN-version.

  • I love that Peter keeps Bauhaus and Joy Division's legacies alive. And I hate to say it, but Peter actually sounds better than Ian - he was on key!

  • @spyoung777 sos un pelotudo no podes decir eso, Ian era mucho mas q un sonido, cualquiera podria sonar mejor q el pero el sentimiento es el sentimiento

  • @89carlosfuentes Sorry, I don't know what you're saying.

  • @spyoung777

Ian would sing off-key, it's just that nobody really cared so much, they just noticed it. Peter is a the more accomplished singer, still...

  • @ClandestineOstrich With a song like Decades (or most other JD songs) though, it wouldn't sound right sung any other way. Singing off-key was an intrinsic part of the sound. It was part of the effect and why they sounded unique.

  • @burlearth Absolutely x

  • Just coming across Peter Murphy's Joy Division covers for the first time. This is some seriously cool stuff...

  • class

  • Done a great version Ian c would be happy with this

  • I LOVE HIM!!!! :D *_*

  • If this is from a NINny show, I'm very happy that Trent Reznor found someone that seems to actually understand the song somewhat, as well as its original singer/writer, rather than making it a glam anthem. I was disgusted by what he did to this song in that Crow movie.

Oh yeah and I'm viewer # 777 is that cool or what?

  • ¡¡Fabulosa versión!!

  • This is from the live radio shows with NIN.

But Peter Murphy is still a god.

  • This song has an awesome bass line

  • @hockeyrocks5757 This ain't bad, but check out the original and the best!
