Awful officiating. The far flank crashed in, but half heartedly; looked like he had a spot, but did nothing to signal next down or touchdown. The nearside flank is nowhere, the Umpire is on his heels watching instead of digging the pile (Referee was closer!), and why did the Referee not signal anything? None of the officials signaled the status of the ball and looked like a bunch of idiots. Bad form and as an official, I'm embarrassed by the tape. I will use it to show how NOT to work goalline

I graduated from james monroe in 2007 man Im telling ya Bluefield and graham is a great rivalry but i strogly suggest that James monroe vs bluefield is getting close to that kind of magnitude, as for this play...he was in...the only thing that confuses me is the fact that when Bluefield plays at Mitchell, they usually get the best calls, nothing against bluefield or the refs but when you play bluefield at mitchell its completely different than the other way around...
For those of you saying his knees hit the ground before he reached the endzone, that means he got zero forward progress and he was obviously moving forward.

Also, I think that the reason the players are having a difficult time moving on is that they can and do win with class, not one of those boys has made any excuse about losing to Princeton, but to be cheated out of something they earned hurt their hearts as it would any one of us!
I am not the coach but I believe that the reason they did not attempt the field goal is because the kicker struggled earlier in the game on a field goal attempt and they felt that the field position was good enough that they had a better chance of winning by pushing the ball through.
No Offense but the video doesn't show you anything. You can't tell anything from this video. That's why there are refs on the field up close who can see things. It was a good game and will go down in books of this continuing annual saga.
Let's all move on to things that matter more now. The game has no weight on eternity so lets move on and look forward to next year's game.

I think that it had a lot to do with errors. As my name hints, I am one of the freshmen's mother. I was there and I can tell you that Bluefield made a pile of errors in the Princeton game. Bluefield earned that loss. But the point is, no one is makin excuses for it. They just lost. But they have rebounded nicely and maybe the trip to Charleston Friday, will make Bluefield feel a little better about the Beaver Graham game. HOPEFULLY!
First off, the continued arguing over this play is completely classless-on both sides of the state line.
Secondly, if Will scored, why wasn't he the proud one to run off of the field with the game ball that actually belonged to his school.

I'm sorry that some of you feel that expecting fairness & being outraged when there's not shows a lack of charcter in us Beaver fans. Both teams played great & neither should be ashamed & you take a win however you get it, I admire the dignity of the G-Men players who have admited that BHS won that game. This healthy rivalry is tainted. But to be a rivalry the same team can't win every year.
I have gone to a lot of games between Bluefield and Graham - and this was one of the very best that I have seen either team play. Bluefield has a very young team and they held their own. Graham's team will be the team to beat this season as well.
I think that the ruling by the refs on the field was incorrect on this play. It does appear that he cleared the goal line.
In my opinion - and I am a Graham Mommie! - and in all fairness for the game - he was in.

First off, the continued arguing over this play is completely classless-on both sides of the state line.
Secondly, if Will scored, why wasn't he the proud one to run off of the field with the game ball that actually belonged to his school.
And lastly, accept the outcome of last week's game with a little dignity. Rather than being obsessed with the past, concentrate on future games such as those against Princeton (and Blacksburg for that matter).

he may or may not have been in any way quit bitchin about it. its over Graham won (1-1) and bluefield lost (0-2) bluefields line was awful and cole got smashed because of his line any way good game and bluefield get off of grahams nuts if you were in that postition to see grahams qb fumble you would have picked it up also so stop the bitching and get on with the season

He may have been in the inzone, but his knees hit the ground before he got in. And maybe if he could hold onto the ball they would give him the touchdown.. G-Men recieve the bad calls every year, and i think it is funny to listen to the Beavers cry now that every call didnt go their way... And how do the Beavers explain their 2 point loss to Princeton? Let me guess, they cheated, right?

Sucks for Bluefield. But one thing I dont understand about this...is why in the hell dont you kick the field goal to put you up by 1??? It was only a 2 point game and that wasn't a 2 point conversion, they had drove down the field and there was like 10 seconds to go in the game. So why not kick the field goal?!??!

I'm sorry that some of you feel that expecting fairness & being outraged when there's not shows a lack of charcter in us Beaver fans. This is American & we are free to speak our opinion & views, sorry that rubs some of you the wrong way. Both teams played great & neither should be ashamed & you take a win however you get it, I admire the dignity of the G-Men players who have admited that BHS won that game. This healthy rivalry is tainted. But to be a rivalry the same team can't win every year.

I have gone to a lot of games between Bluefield and Graham - and this was one of the very best that I have seen either team play. Bluefield has a very young team and they held their own. Graham's team will be the team to beat this season as well.
I think that the ruling by the refs on the field was incorrect on this play. It does appear that he cleared the goal line.
In my opinion - and I am a Graham Mommie! - and in all fairness for the game - he was in.

This was a crock of shit!!!!! It was without a doubt a touchdown!! If anything Graham should be ashamed. It was a blatant touchdown! Both teams played a good game but we all know that if she situation was reversed, Graham would be just as upset at Bluefield fans are right now. The refs should be reprimanded and disciplined. WE know who the real winners of The Game was.....WE BELIEVE!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was definitely a touchdown. You can't even argue. Graham shouldn't even be proud about this victory because they don't deserve it. There's no question he got the ball over the goal line.

This game was fuckin bullshit! We won! NOT GRAHAM!!! Graham fuckin sucked the refs off before the game! Theres NO way we didn't win that! Screw EVERY person at Graham! Those refs should be fired! Everyone knows the game was fixed because as soon as Graham "won" the refs RAN off the field and had to get a fuckin truck to come get them! Freakin pussy refs!
