this is a difficult question, it seems odd that they would never comment, perhaps they think you are overly sensitive. you really didn't mention what percentage of your friends are overweight or fat. Usually overweight people like talking about their weight issues with other overweight people.
What annoys me is that people tell me that i am good looking, which is ridiculous I honestly look like one of those orcs from middle earth. drives me nuts. You at least seem to have a nice face.
hey, you are a human being. and so are we. it doesn't matter if you're fat or skinny or whatever...if you are ugly..than so are we. and you know what. you're not ugly.
No not neceserity, they probley dont look at you ina weight way i think they look at you for the inner you, and they prob no that you no your Thick so they dont feel the need to bring it up!
You seem to be a very sincere, authentic person, sort of like a Maya Angelou-philosopher-type. It's hard to find other people like that. I HAVE told a friend she was gaining her weight, after she lost it all, then regained it, because I felt maybe she needed someone else to verify it--maybe she needed to hear it. I wanted to let her to know that she was not invisible, and that I cared. You know what she said? "It takes a true friend to say that. Thank you." Do you perform, or write poetry?
I think it depends on the 2 people talking. I would feel bad telling one of my friends they're fat and I think my friends would cry, if I told them that! I think it's better to help keep of your friends cofidence.
Nah, when I make friends, and keep them weight doesn't even play into the factor. I have been that way when I was both heavy and thinner. I would never talk about someone's weight unless they brought it up, and then I would share stories with them.
I have a very dear friend (23+ years) and she has never once said, gee are you gaining weight etc... When I told her I was having the surgery, she was surprised. another group of friends actually said "Why is she having the surgery, she isn't that fat". I think your true friends see you not your weight. Now I have lost over 40 pounds and only my friend of 23+ years has ever made a comment about how much I have lost. why haven't they all said anything, cause I'm lookin good lol
hmm I have friends who have never commented on my weight. They usually comment on their own lol. Oh and maybe they just dont have a problem with it or maybe they feel like its non of their busines. I know I dont tell my friends that...well I told one of my friends but that is just becuause she was very small but she ate alot and its finally catchin up to her
I have some friends that help me out alot, but there are one or two people I know- that are my friends- but, they do sometimes cross the line. Because like one week they say really nice things and encouraging things- and then the next week, they let it leak witha snicker or eye roll when I mention I lost a lb...or they give me comments or looks when I have loaded my plate. (Not talking about the ones I ASK to help with my plate). God knows who I'm talking about. Hard to accept any criticism.
True...they met me fat but I gained like 100+ lbs since then...sad I know...but every treats me like nothing has happened...anyway I totally understand and I give God thanks for my friends.
None of my friends have mentioned it to me either, but I figure why state the obvious... I know I am fat I don't need anyone to tell me. Same goes for me, I wouldn't tell someone they need lose weight, I would only mention it or help them if they asked for help. Not because I don't care but because most fat people know they are fat. I wouldn't want to offend them or make them feel uncomfortable.
Maybe they don't say anything because they are afraid of hurting your feelings. It is a sensitive topic. They are probably worried that you would curse them out, lol. idk
I think a friend should care enough to say something if they know your health is at serious risk.
ok...lol...I'm a very approachable person. I thought of this today...If you were to gain weight would it be ok for someone to tell you? I personally don't mind being told that information in a very respectful manner...And not every fat person knows they are fat... it's funny but it's true...

I def think your friends should tell you when you're fat.
I do, and my friends do.
And if I lose weight they compliment me. That's how it should be.

yeah i think u look fat
dont take it personally
i would definitely tell a friend if they asked me if i think theyre fat
its not healthy for them to think theyre not unhealthy
so yeah i tell the truth all the time
but a lot of women tend to get upset when i speak the truth

That topic is toooooooooo sensitive! I wouldn't touch that with a 10 foot pole on another friend. For me, you probably met me fat...it is what it is!
