good thing I got the last glimpse of TechTV back in early 2004 when my family made the switch to DirectTV.

I used to love the old X-Play, Screensavers, and other good shows.

now it's all Ninja shows, and COPS.

@tsslaporte TechTV was falling apart and comcast basically saved them. They just made it suck by ruining the network.

@coffeeandsugar20 right... Falling apart the only reason it fell apart was because of comcast. Comcast's network sucked and they were doing far worse then TechTV. Comcast bought out the network to get more viewers for their shows. Comcast said they would be keeping everything the same just addding some of their popular shows. That did not happen and started Axeing everything on TechTV and laying off people.

I about cried when I watch this. I miss this show like crazy!!! Every person on TSS was excellent, as was Call For Help. I watched these shows every night when possible. G4 is the worst thing that could have every happened to Tech TV. Heck, I started watching it when it was ZDTV. RIP Screen Savers!

i completely agree...and the funny thing is that G4 aims at the younger crowd (and gamer-oriented). Well i'm 21 now and watched TSS when i was 17. So much better than G4...they try and be sooo cool now.

Could've used a better song (anything not featuring someone whining over acoustics [so, no good charlotte, green day, etc]), but it's always great seeing the way things used to be. It was good seeing Call for Help come back, at least for a little while, but they really screwed up when they replaced the cast and changed it to Attack of the Show. BORING.

Wow, this brings back memories, I miss that show so much. I would come home frm school and tune the tv to tech tv at 5pm for the screen savers. There was Patrick norton and leo laporte -then there was kevin rose and megan. Great show its a shame its off the air.

Yes, I agree, The Screen Savers and Call for Help were shows I very much looked forward to each time and there website was awesome and I was thinking it would not be near as good when they changed to G4, the only good thing about G4 is they show Star Trek, but I would GASP give up Star Trek to get back true Tech programs. The girl who had the baby also helped Leo Laporte Edit one or more of his yearly books he published and she at one time had her own personal website.
