  • you need a compressor

  • Very nice :)

  • Very cool playing and ay, chihuahua, thats a classy L7. What kind of pickup do you have on it? Sounds great.

  • Thanks. The pickup is the Kent Armstrong Handmade Adjustable Floating PAF available from archtop.com

Fixed to the guitar with Blu Tac rather than glued to the pickguard. Not really floating, then, but less permanent.

  • Very beautiful. You captured the essence, beauty and spirit of the song so well! I like the Chet Baker version from his album live in bologna and was looking for that when i stumbled upon your version. Thank you for the music.

  • Wonderful tune, very well played! The wood of the guitar seems very good aged. GIBSON pure!

  • Thanks. You must have great ears to hear the wood, and in fact you are correct - the guitar is 50 years old this year!

  • All Great! Just Great!Compliments!

Guitar, pickup and amp... and the tune is amazing! I' m an old beginner and I ve reached to purchase a Gibson 175 and now i'm looking for an amp for HER!I like this tune .have you the tab? if it can happen that you have time to send me,you welcome!

In any case God bless you, friend! Bye

  • Thanks. The Jazzamp should sound great with a 175. Yes, I loved this tune for years (Jim Hall Trio version originally, the Peter Bernstein's more recently). I think I found a tab for it, but it was rubbish. I eventually found the dots and chords in a fake book called The Standards Real Book, but I do not have an emailable version to send you, unfortunately. I think the book can be ordered from Amazon, and has lots of other good stuff in it.

  • That's the sound man, that's the sound! Lovely, I got a jazzamp a few months back, amazing little thing.

  • Great playing! Nice and smooth...now that's good stuff. :)

  • what a great set-up! gibson & armstrong &henriksen! fantastic! (i dont mention you playing dear friend. just beautiful)

  • Thanks. Well done for spotting the Kent Armstrong jazz guitar humbucker! It's a nice pick-up, and thin enough to stick on the guitar with Blu-Tac - no cutting and drilling, and more secure than stuck to the pick-guard.

  • outstanding and inspirational

  • Thanks. For 'ultimate' versions of this tune have a listen to Peter Bernstein on his 'Stranger In Paradise' CD or Jim Hall on 'The Jim Hall Trio' CD.

  • Very sensitive. Nice one!
