TruDisk 6001 has a cutting speed of 145 m/min up through 1.6mm stainless. TruLaser 7040 fiber uses an SPI LaSers UK ltd. 400W fibre laser which has a better M2 figure (<1.6) meanijng it is better at edge deletion and sintering after the cut as well.

I'm always impressed with the speed that a lsaer cutter can cut the profiles even with the high head lift. It would be nice to see the finished edge quality and whether any deburring is needed prior to finishing. I still feel that a CNC punch like a Trumpf 3000R will beat this machine on speed for punching holes.
Couple of other things that might speed it up. Take the pierce out of it and try just beam on and go. It looked like the lead in was long enough the beam should be stable before it starts cutting the profile. Because the parts are large and rectangular, you could share the part lines between the parts. Me personally, I would put at least one microjoint on the rectangles inside the parts, this would help to keep it from flipping up and clipping the nozzle. We used to run lights out every night.
@trespire I used to program a mitsubishi ml 3015 lvp with an auto-loading tower for lights out operation, a finn-power turret punch and trumpf 3-axis knee mill with a centroid control.
Optimize the part first, pointing the lead ins in the correct directions, then nest the parts in such a way that it keeps the attributes with the single part, if possible. Sometimes laying out the parts in an array is preferable to auto-gen a nest. In this case, you have more control over the program and it's attributes. If there isn't a setting in your cam software to control head lift, then you can remove the head lift by using the search / replace capability of a text editor. Probably M199
so slow at cutting what? 2mm 3mm MS? Drop head height by around 30 mil and your job prob would have taken half as long, Does your boss know this? He should do coz your costing him moolah sunshine!!
@MrScotttomo82 I agree. In fact, you should take the head lift out and program the lead in on the same side as the next hole that the head is traveling to. With no head lift you will decrease your cutting time by a good 30%. Make sure the lead in is on the same side as the next hole. This way the head wont travel into an opened hole and crash! Also, leaving the assist gas and beam on while controlling the pierce with the shutter can increase speed in some situations.
@SpeedOfDark186Kmps To change and check the Lead-ins' and rapid movements for ever program is a time consuming effort. Most people just don't make the effort. It's better to go drink a coffee and a smoke while the machine is working.
@trespire "To change and check the Lead-ins' and rapid movements for ever program is a time consuming effort." That really all depends on what kind of software you use. The two that I'm familiar with are Teksoft and Metamation. Both are capable of optimizing but metamation is, by far, the easiest of the two when it comes to optimizing a laser nest. However, part optimization can be done with teksoft reasonably easy.
@zandelar123 This is a big machine with a laser generator and industrial water chiller (2tons). Power is from mains 3 phase 400 or 480 volts, drawing 60 to 90 Amps. Not very portable.
interesting video, can we know what kind of steel or alloy is being machined here ?? the sparks are not that clear to guess it .. is this a CO2 laser cutting machine ?
and how many KWs.....sorry, but im writing a paper about laser cutting for 2024 T3, that's why im asking soooo many questions.... : D ...
good afternoon I am Interested in a machine that could cut these materials as silver, copper and other thin-cut and exact thickness of the product information 2m.m nesecito muchas grasias
LOL wow so quick, the one i work on at work is one of the first models and is an ancient piece of shit, to do that would hav taken at least 20 minutes easy
i want one to do my casemods

Is that a Tanaka or Trumpf or Mazak, you got alot of parts falling so im assuming you got a line for scrap cleaning.

Can you suggest what power I must need to engrave ONLY on METALS ? What is the difference between laser diode and YAG and which is better ?

What is the watt output of the laser?
Looks like an infrared laser, then a red "aiming" laser turns on. What is keeping the beam from reflecting off of the metal?
