  • Iraqi training, taking off from an american air strip, landing on an american air field, flying american planes and directed by a Mexican Sgt. Yet they call it Iraqi?

  • This is Lasta 95, right? Serbian made?

  • @mikigm89 It's just me, but the tail and canopy looks like it may be a Beechcraft T-6 Texan II (basically if I am right a licensed Pliatus PC-9).

  • @sb2729 Thats exactly what they are

  • @sb2729

Meh... kinda. The AT-6 Texan II's have quite a bit different than the PC-9. These are mostly AT-6B's which are quite a bit different.

  • @mikigm89 Yup! It is LASTA 95 made by factory UTVA. This is one of 18 airplanes delivered during this spring.

  • @yurion88

i think it is the T6A texan 2

  • @TuRkmEnOkaN You are right! My mistake. "Lasta 95" does not have this type of exhaust but it looks sooo similar! Tail strike protection is also longer on Lasta.

  • I'm sure these guys can't wait to get back into their MiG 29s.

  • @PotholesInMyLawn Correction F-16's Forgot that Iraq had bought or is about to by two squadrons worth of jets... about 36 with minivans (D/B models)

  • @PotholesInMyLawn so they bought 36 F-16's? and will they also be getting MIG's?

  • @yoyoyoyoshua I'm sure they will be able to get any airframe they want. Iraq rich nation. The US will no doubt try to be the solo supplier. Iraq had a decent Air force with lots of MiG drivers so we will see if the Russians get to work their way back in once Iraq is free from US over watch.

  • @yoyoyoyoshua wouldn't make much sense for them to buy MiGs if they already bought F-16. Wonder which ones, though. Block 52?

  • @44lucas yeah but this uy is saying that they're gonna get back into there migs

  • it has a nice sound, not as noisy as a jet.

what was that coming out of the plane at 2:02 ? an air-break?

  • @0MoTheG That is probably air-brake. Only other explanation (less likely) is that it's used to drop some stuff from plane.

  • you gotta love stall training.... PUCKER UP.

  • @1stepy yeahhhh theyre pretty snazzy

  • sweet, while i fly the t-34c in navy primary, the iraqi's get brand new t-6 ii's. tight.

  • You got to be kidding me . That is what we are wasting our money on.

  • Agree with TripleZ89.

  • Raytheon / Hawker Beechcraft T-6 Texan II

  • Great footage

  • Never seen head and hand signals from the back seat! Really cool!

  • Correct me if i'm wrong, but isn't that a Pilatus Aircraft? I'd say PC-, but not really sure about the model, seems a little shorter :P

  • @johncirri i would have said PC-7, but the 7 didnt come out x) PC-21 was my second guess, but the tail seems a little different
