V8 is big and heavy but it doesnt block off anything, and even with one fan it out performs the v6 in all other tests iv ever seen, have no idea how this guy got the v6 to perform better, i went with the v8 and have not looked back either way
@flystagg I'm running the V6gt with 4 dimms of gskill sniper, which is fairly low profile. The fan casing touches the ram. Also it's tall, so make sure you have a big enough case. It nearly touches the side of my Antec DF-85,
Buying my computer stuff tomorrow or the next day and have never built a computer anything i should know? i was planning on going with the v8 my question is do i need too put thermal paste on or whats the deal with that?
hmm it looks like the v6 blocks 2 of the ram slots?and the v8 doesn't.im looking to buy one of these heatsinks.but the v8 looks like the one ill go with because in this vid to me it dont block ram.can you tell me if they do block ram slots.thanks
@reaper23890 Yes, the Cooler Master V6 GT blocks RAM slots in many cases, but sometimes it doesn't, depending on the motherboard spacing and layout. To be on the sure side I'd go with the V8. :)

@stonecoldtrk I can't agree with that, but I would if it was the V6 CPU Cooler, not the V6 GT.

@Statikteck You will have to put thermal paste on the CPU and then install your CPU Cooler. Don't put too much and not too little on the CPU.
