  • Right, no questions! Having worked for a news magazine for years, I know that it's important that journalists respect a social visit and save their questions for news conferences and briefings. This is the President attempting to establish guidelines wherein he can operate responsibly.

To outsiders this may look odd--yes, they are reporters--but reporters do not have license to ask policy questions at any old time.There are times and places for questions and this was not one of them. I have worked for news magazines for over 20 years and know that the reporter should have known and respected that.
