  • It's hard to watch people around my age die in war. It's hard to watch anyone die in war. Most people just don't seem to understand. They watch docs like this, Restrepo, and Hell and Back Again for some sort of entertainment. These films aren't about entertainment, they are about informing the world of what is going on. bit. ly/yYsv5o

  • thanks for uploading this.

  • great video, i support all our soldiers who serve for their countries!

  • It's the moments in films like this that make me want to join, but it's the heartbreak that ensues a mate dying that makes me not want to... My heart goes out to the guys who are still out there.

  • Imagine being the fucking camera man for these guys!

  • As a American veteran of Veitnam your battles are the same in many ways. An elusive enemy and a foe that holds no land has no flag and no front line. My heart goes out to all the British soldiers one and all good will and may god bless and keep your ammo dry.

  • You guys at BBC are good people. The only way Americans can see truth is through BBC. May God bless BBC & the Queen.

    Chris from Amerika.

  • Great documentary. Gotta love those stiff ass brits. Keep fighting the good fight mates.

  • War is the highest glory of government.

  • @Mudmonster77

What? Anyone else have any idea as to what this guy just said?

  • @USMCG0811 i think he is asking why a US Marine is putting up videos of Royal Marines.

  • @USMCG0811 He is astounded, by the fact that any guys from a different nationality would upload a video not about their own forces.

  • @BloodandGore4evah

Brothers in Arms. Top tier soldiering. Nuff said.

  • @USMCG0811 You can fight with em, you can bleed with em, you can die with em, but dont you dare post a video of em! :P

  • @USMCG0811 so can i ask how would you compare your experience from the marines to the army?

  • @Mudmonster77 what a fool

  • im at 35 minutes into watching this & ive had to stop it to say i hope i dont see none of these boys get killed after ive kinda got to know them by watching this!! these boys just seem like ppl i know in real life! its mad how were all the same in the uk haha anyway, i think this is a fantastic documentary!

  • @Lostmusic the usa and allies are invaders they have no aim to fight TALIBAN are freedom fighters they have aim of fight and they die for thier aim you cannot defeat TALIBAN now usa start peace talk with TALIBAN to stop the war TALIBAN refuse thier offer and said first leave our country

  • this is so fucking weird ... its like a flashback to the childrens crusade . they look more like they belong in a b-ball team , going out with girls , sleeping all day , getting in trouble for bad grades than killing . ive seen veterans , warriors ... a little older but with a different look in their eyes . no disrespect intended but this looks like an elaborate airsoft game . this makes me uneasy ...

  • no one knows what ITS likeyou hav to be there you hav too loose a buddy and when you engaguge the enemy thie nxt time you remember your fallen comrade. its a sad thing war i hav a 16yr old son who wants too the U.S.MARINES even at the cost it may bring

  • The 1 thing that is stopping me from joining the army is the invisible enemy, I was trying to talk myself into joining and I was trying to forget about the IEDs but after watching this the army is not for me, I couldn't live my life with no legs

  • 4:01 looks like a video game lol

  • Could someone please reply?

After you are done with your tour and deployment do you go into reserve or could you keep fighting as long as you want and some soldiers are retired at young age are they forced to or its an option after your tour? im only a young teen and i would love to fight till death 18-19 till i R.I.P i do not want to be forced to stop after 1 tour

  • @L0stmusic

Grow up, mate. There is nothing honorable about dying in combat. Once you're dead you're dead, that's it.

  • @USMCG0811 Yeah i know that but id rather die doing something fun and good like saving your whole squad instead of dying in a hellacrappy ass home doin Nothin

  • @L0stmusic

War is not a fuckin' video game nor is it a Hollywood movie. Fun? I think it's time you reassess your level of maturity, pal. Attitudes such as yours only place others in jeopardy and get people killed. Honestly though, I've seen people like you while deployed. They talk like that, give the impression that they're hard, then end up being the ones pissing themselves under fire and unable to move. Stick with CoD or whatever you pass your time with.

  • @USMCG0811 i agree

  • @L0stmusic Kid, you've been brainwashed. Good job, go die as a soldier

  • @L0stmusic wow you really are a silly individual, you dont go to combat just to come home a hero, you go because its your duty to, training in the army is not fun, youve been watching too many movies thinking your going to be Rambo, really? one person cannot save a squad, you say youll go on training with torn muscles, your fucking retarded, you clearly havent torn one before, probably because you lack them, get a desk job, the army will turn you away for your attitude

  • @benjsy i dont care if i dont make it home or not and what are you talking about rambo im not that kind of person who tries to be "the shiit" and i have and went to the doc and told me i did and was on crutches for a month so what if the army turns me away that doesnt stop me from being what i wanted to be every since i was a fuuockin fetus

  • @USMCG0811 Tell that to the thousand's of soldiers who have given their lives for your freedom that they are not honorable. You should be ashamed of yourself for saying that

  • @L0stmusic With that mentality they will not take you at all.

You will only endanger your fellow soldiers, with your stupid ego. Think about your family, you war horny little boy.

  • @L0stmusic you will start thinking differently once taliban bullet fly over your head mate. you are not going to hold joystick and a screen infront of you there in helmand, grow up buddy. salute everyone in this video.

  • @MrLanghalee May I advise you that i do not play video games and im not the average kid who just wants to join to seem cool or shoot guns instead of being with my friends and hanging out and have fun i train no matter the weather no matter if i tore a muscle

  • @L0stmusic Stay in school and grow up kid. You have NO idea what the hell you're talking about. Guys like you are the first ones to shit in their pants the first time they hear bullets flying over their head. COMBAT IS NOT FUN. Get that into your head.

  • @HTC2971 I never said it was fun and enjoying to be in combat and i also may advise you that "i would be the first one to crap in my pants" for years and years people would say im the toughest i never back down a lot of people just laugh but when they actually see me and get to know me oh boy and EVERYONE stop replying to this

  • @L0stmusic one way the army judges your character is by running. even a 40-year-old that weighs 300 pounds can sprint for a mile (in theory). it shows us how hard you are willing to push yourself. if you can run so hard your legs spasm out of control, please tell us. we WILL take you seriously. that's some dope shit if you can go that far before any actual training.

  • @MrYutoob Yes sir im not a track or cross country star and i currently ran all out with a sore leg into a strained leg into a tore muscle and i still get out in the morning on weekends and after school i run until i finish i will still run if my leg is snapped in half and scream my guts out and crawl till i finish no matter if i fail the run wont quit ever

  • i think i'd be very apprehentious too..

  • wow the leader who went to sandhurst seems like such a caring leader, i dont know how anyone can go through with having to be placed in a different group after all that because i know that id be very very sad

  • Comment removed

  • Why did you leave the USMC to join the Army?

  • @uchio

I completed my term of service and decided to get out. I was out of the military for almost three years and over that time I really missed serving, the comradery, the sense of duty and honor, the fight (combat) and I was essentially bored with civilian life. Looked at going back into the Corps but they were going to reduce me to a E-3/LCpl, the Corps likes to punish you for getting out. The Army offered me a new MOS (Combat Engineer) and Ranger School. Thus, I chose the Army.

  • @USMCG0811 interesting that the Corps does that. I thought that they went by the once a Marine always a Marine motto. Congrats on making it to the Rangers. I hope you enjoy your new unit and stay safe!

  • @uchio

I've been back in for over four years now. However, thanks for the kind words.

  • i watched the whole thing omg .

  • Great upload thanks bro!

  • My political views aside (I support the troops REGARDLESS of the politics), all these comments about "Go back to the Middle East" "Goat herder" etc....

Just ridiculous. Part of democracy is allowing people the freedom of speech and hearing different views. You don't agree? That's your right. Does it mean they can't have an opposing view that's just as valid?

There's two sides to everything, just bear that in mind before you go making blanket statements on other religions/regions.

  • This war has taken its toll on humanity in general. I just hope everybody gets back to their own families safely.

  • this is the future of our country! remember 10 kids have 10 kids have 10 kids! add that with there dangerous medieval religion and views about Jews, gays and women and your going to have a civil war!!!! truth will hurt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Thanks for uploading this mate!

  • Why did the officer only serve 3 months?

  • @Malang214- if you are a taliban why dont you go to afghan and fight us Brits

  • Very Nice Doc... Thank You all who served in the U.S, U.K and Allied Armed Forces in an attempt to secure our liberty and make the world a safer place.... And Screw all you haters making foul comments.. Its interesting that you hate the west so much but yet use its technology and cry foul when your plight is ignored. If you dont like the video you ignorant bitches, go watch the goat herder jihadist channel and make your stupid comments there.. You freakin dumbasses..

  • Can someone explain to me why young soldiers from the UK ages (18-20) look like they are 12 years old but other soldiers (US, NATO) look like their 18-20 year old soldiers look 25 and can grow full beards.

I mean no disrespect but I just find it odd. Anyone else notice it?

  • @Sagihara33 If I were to guess, its what we eat. The meat products that we eat come from animals that were fed hormones to make them grow larger and faster (my guess is so that the can make more money faster). And when we eat these meat products form these hormone fed animals, we go through that same process. Pretty much, I think testosterone is the name of the game here.

  • I want to thank all who served and helped hold the line between anarchy. for those still deploying pass on experiance listen to your experianced NCOs they have the instastutional knowledge that young lts just dont have yet.

  • The mind must always be in the state of 'flowing,' for when it stops anywhere that means the flow is interrupted and it is this interruption that is injurious to the well-being of the mind. In the case of the swordsman, it means death. When the swordsman stands against his opponent, he is not to think of the opponent, nor of himself, nor of his enemy's sword movements. He just stands there with his sword which, forgetful of all technique, is ready only to follow the dictates of the subconscious.

  • @sass225 Mushin is a mental state into which very highly trained martial artists are said to enter during combat.Tyrone sheapard a korean and veitnam US Army vet taught me about this when I was 20 I broke a knee thanks to tyrone I recovered fully. was able to go on and help other people over a 12 year career. I wish I could have done more

  • @sass225 Who is that? Mushashi? Sun Tzu?

  • @7thRangerBattalion I am not sure which I studied both as did my first instructor tyrone sheapard who got his 3rd deg black belt in kung-fu in taiwan after the korean war and was stationed in japan till vietnam broke out in 65. Mushin is japanesse though. Clausewitz viewed war as a nonlinear phenomenon and that he described it in terms which mirror today’s complexity theories.

  • @7thRangerBattalion Rommel understood the importance of frequent reconnaissance trips to flesh out the enemy. He used these to his advantage to make a series of successful surprise attacks.General George Patton was among the many influential military leaders reported to have read "Infantry Attacks". Battle tactics have not truly changed. the tecknology has advanced but in the end it is the men with mud and blood on the boots that win wars.

  • @7thRangerBattalion otto Skorzeny's also someone worth studing his main argument, based on his experience in the Russian front, was that the German army, which demonstrated innovative warfare early in the war, gradually deteriorated to an ordinary war of attrition. His proposed solution was to establish units specialized in unconventional warfare that will include fighting behind enemy lines, fighting in enemy uniform, sabotage attacks, etc.

  • @7thRangerBattalion Also for understanding unconventional warfare and how to counter it the works of us airforce gen ED Landsdale who defeated the huks after ww2 and if he had been heeded south vietnam would be a free state today. but instead politicians desided that they knew more than an expert with a proven track record.

  • this is verry similar to sgt dan mills and his regiments experiance in sniper one the princess of wales royal regiment thank you for posting this

  • no esta en español? podriais subirlo subtitulado

  • BBC puts some quality documentary

  • These are grenadier guards?????

    What the heck.

  • @sniperquasi Go back to bed kid.

  • @7thRangerBattalion You don't think these troops seem a little soft for grenadiers?

  • @sniperquasi Ha! One of the blokes in it (guy dancing when NVG lights are on) was my Section Commander (Lance Sergeant) at Infantry Training Centre Catterick. I'd like to see you telling him he was soft! One of the hardest blokes i've ever met, carrying a bit of a belly, but still the first bloke up the hill on every tab you did.

  • @sniperquasi Soft? They are very green at the start sure, just a bunch of well-trained kids. The Grenadier Guard name is clearly deserved as you see how quickly they adapt, mature and change into professional soldiers. 'Grenadier' is just a name tag for some infantry units, it doesn't have any real significance. The only infantry units in the BAF that you would expect more from because of a name would be Paras and SF. I don't know what you mean by soft, do you think soldiers don't cry?

  • You can see my old section commander and the one for the Irish Guards section very briefly in this video. Masses of respect for everyone in it. I DAORd a short way into training back in September 2011-worst decision I've ever made, fitness and strength have slumped, haven't been able to find work and you get your life dictated to you by useless, idle individuals who's job is to look for jobs that there aren't any of.Not to mention I can't rejoin for ages.Honi Soit Qui Mal Y Pense. Twice the man.

  • i couldnt imagine planning to get tortured. thats just fucked

  • yes yes and yes kill fucking us uk army .

  • @Malang214 Why don't you fuck off back out to the middle east and fight us then? Because you're too happy living in Western Europe with your Internet and way of life. Assimilate with us or fuck off, instead of gobbing off over the internet, no one wants you here you sick cunt.

  • @Hampshirelad91 well what do you expect? He's an immigrant in Sweden. They rob/rape and murder eachother here on a daily basis.

  • @Hampshirelad91 Shut the fuck up you barbarian. Why don't you and your military fuck off back to europe? Why don't YOU assimilate with THEM considering how Europe's military is in the middle east, and not the other way around. You are just a pampered brat sitting at your computer eating chips getting fat. Moron.

  • @carsiotto I don't really understand you're statement? Are you in the Army, or have you ever been? I was, but left in training, but am a good way into the process of rejoining, and can't leave again. Are you another of the crazy sort like Malang who have an utterly irrational hatred of the Western Armed Forces. And I can assure you there is probably more fat on a chip than there is on me. Get a grip you absolute glue sniffer of a keyboard warrior.

  • @Hampshirelad91 Sorry I don't seem to understand you. Are you another of the crazy sort, that is used like a dildo by the Western Armed Forces? This proves that what im saying is beyond your capacity. You are worse than a fat bastard eating chips. You are military and because of that, you won't get it. Moron.

  • @carsiotto Me misunderstanding doesn't seem to be the real problem. It's the fact that you talk in fucking riddles. No like I said, i'm not in the Army, I was, I did some Infantry training, I left, I've reapplied, but i'm not actually IN the Army now. Why should people be allowed to come to my country and criticize my peoples way of life when they worship a Paedophile and haven't advanced past the Dark Ages in their own countries. You're either one of them or some bleeding heart loony

  • @Hampshirelad91 "Why should people be allowed to come to my country and criticize?" Are you that fucking dense? This is coming from someone whose military has invaded another nation, and now you wanna whine about people criticizing your country? Are most brits as fucking stupid as yourself? Get your facts straight shit head, most in the US do NOT support the war. Over 70% in fact. Fucking piece of shit.

  • @carsiotto I'm not talking about supporting the war you illiterate cunt! I clearly said that people support the soldiers who are fighting it. Its a not so subtle difference. Furthermore, we don't go there calling for our laws to be enforced, like they do here. And if you actually watch the fucking documentary, rather than just trolling on the comments here, you'll see that a lot of the Afghan population like us being there and improving their way of life. Learn to fucking read!

  • @Hampshirelad91 Watch the documentary? You fucking asshat, look at the reality you piece of shit. The fact that the Taliban is still there and is being supported by the people is proof that they don't want us there. Do you usually have your head this far up your rotten ass?

  • @carsiotto Read a fucking book. Most of the Taliban who still fight are foreign fighters, Pakistanis, Chechens, etc. A lot of the Afghan population benefits from us and they know it. Again, I implore you to watch the documentary, instead of just making up utter bollocks as you go along.

  • @Hampshirelad91 The population benefits? Hahaaha that is why they are the main reason the Taliban can create a resistance. With the help of the population you moron. And you are correct about many joining together to fight the US troops. That proves that most in that part of the world want the US out you fucking meat head hahaha

  • @carsiotto

You mean us? They fight us? You might wanna change your "fake" country selection on your page as the United States, mate. You're not a American, we get that... the terrible syntax and pronunciation errors are readily evident. For your edification, the Taliban is all but defeated. They have splintered into 20+ insurgent elements throughout RC-S, RC-E, and RC-C, with the most volatile group being the Haqqani Network, a primarily Pakistani element from Waziristan.

  • @USMCG0811 Maybe you should read the news, GI joe. The US is finally considering negotiating with the Taliban! haha could have seen that coming. What a joke.

  • @carsiotto

They're negotiating because it's nigh impossible to defeat a insurgency given the fundamentals of asymmetric operations. The Taliban however are indeed logistically and operationally defeated, focusing their primary efforts (all of them) on large scale infrastructure and LN attacks, less so on ISAF. I can tell you have only a passing familiarity with COIN strategy and operations. Nice G.I. Joe ad-hom comment though; sarcasm is the wit of a weak mind.

  • @carsiotto Maybe two years ago. The people want their children educated and clean water to drink. The coalition is a solution, not a problem. Not only are you completely incoherent and mal-informed, you're also becoming incredibly fucking boring.Go and find another video with people that actually don't know what they are talking about to troll on. If this video's comments were a village, you are fast proving yourself to be the resident idiot!

  • @Hampshirelad91 Its a fucking bullshit war and as far as "supporting", their big boys there of their own volition. They dont need any support.

  • @carsiotto ...either way keep it to yourself, most of us in the UK and US support our soldiers and are starting to find your opinions on them pretty tiresome. Do yourself a favour and fuck off.

  • @Hampshirelad91 hahahahahahaha

  • @Malang214 you are a shit

  • Comment removed

  • fuck islam

  • to be honest the christian and muslim world should join and take the real threat out and thats the crazy paranoid regime of Israel Israeli generals have publicly said that if israel was near destruction they would nuke europe aswell now thats a real threat!

  • @DiverseMusic2011 Your anti-semitism is turning into psychosis and your loosing all touch with reality.

  • @TheBardicDruid the troops who fight for crazy regimes are the psychos mate not me :)

  • @DiverseMusic2011 Why are you so threatened by the existance of jews? they are the smallest group of the 3. Israel is such a small area compaired to the whole of southwest asia why not leave them be?

  • @sass225 leave them be why do they not leave the palestinians be? and don't even try and use the rocket argument they rockets have killed about 50 israelis israel has killed 10,000 palestinians

  • @DiverseMusic2011 The Israeli haven't vowed to push the "Palestinians" into the sea. They don't wish their children grow up and kill themselves to kill a Jew. And BTW, show me one map, modern or historical, that shows Palestine.

  • @hondascott996 Fuck off the Israelis are a bunch of fucking rats who are even more untrustworthy then the fucking arabs. Cunt.

  • The leaders of the taliban fought against the soviets 79-89 and the younger ones benifit from there experiance. Afganistian has always been a violent place there are mutiple tribes and they fight against each other

  • @sass225 Ahmad Shah Massoud (احمد شاه مسعود Aḥmad Šāh Mas'ūd; September 2, 1953 – September 9, 2001) was a Kabul University engineering student turned military leader who played a leading role in driving the Soviet army out of Afghanistan, earning him the name "Lion of Panjshir"

  • @sass225 he strongly rejected the interpretations of Islam followed by the Taliban, Al Qaeda or the Saudi establishment.[1] His followers not only saw him as a military commander but also as a spiritual leader.[1]

Following the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan the Wall Street Journal named Massoud "the Afghan who won the Cold War".[2] After the collapse of the communist Soviet-backed government of Mohammad Najibullah in 1992,

he was murdered on sept 9 2001

  • @sass225 Just wanted you that havn't been there to understand its not a war against Islam the koran is actualy against suicide bombing and killing women and childern Sayyid Qutb an eygptian member of the muslum brotherhood taught a perverted islam and thats were the talibans teaching comes from increasing literacy and improving the poverty will allow afganis to see what the koran says for themselves not take someone elses word for it

  • @sass225 Suicide bombing is not considered suicide in islam, according to the sahih al-bukhari you will go immediately to the highest level of heaven by killing as many non-believers as possible. This is possible because you give your life for allah. You really need to learn islam before you open your mouth.

  • @TheBardicDruid I see you are a follower of Sayyid Qutb teaching he was an author and not a religious athority. and there killing followers of Islam right along with non Islam followers and trying to veil it into holy war if there is a God then that god created all mankind yet man choses to hate each other and kill

  • @sass225 I follow a druidic path that encourages knowledge, not religious doctrine.

  • @TheBardicDruid Thats good Knowledge is Power. My Path is Honor I respect the rights of others to believe in whatever god they wish or none at all. I went looking for truth and God at 13 found that all religions are man made and the diferences in them all caused by man. men wrote the bible, torah, koran as well as all other religious text. I belive in the Ideals that America was founded on. the bill of rights constitution and the declaration of independence.

  • Thank you for the documentery I enjoy seeing the Uk, French FL, and other allied forces we dont get much of this in the states our media reported the war lost long ago yet know that iraqis are trained and doing it for themselves they dont report the positive outcomes

  • bomb these assholes!!!

  • Support our troops!!!

  • also people, if u like this check out a HBO doc titled "The battle for Marjah" gert doc

  • as u say in the description "former Marine currently serving in the US Army" what made u leave the Corps and go into Army?.. just curious and thank you for your service!!

  • @jakeeboii20 If he got out of the marines and was out over a year the marines would have required that he go through basic training and start over in rank at pvt if he got out as a sgt the army would have let him enter as a sgt hes not the first iv heard of.

  • proud northern irish

  • 1st Battalion is like my 1st home

  • 28:12 LOL!!!!

  • Grunts

  • These guys are brave enough to be there. But all these lives lost will be useless, as you guys heard that there are peace talks going on between us and taliban

  • @johnsh3r Interesting, that the most recent satellite images of Sangin are from 2004!

  • british soldiars have been here since 1771

  • @BIGBOY112000

    what was the end?

  • so proud of the these guys and to be british, but what really worries me if we ever came up against a more advanced country like korea, russia. we cnt even beat a third world country using 40 year old weapons? just curious

  • @maleangel1983 same reason the IRA havnt lost. its the hearts of people

  • the strategies are fight them on their land not let them fight us in our land so our people can live in peace. That's why these western are in Afghanistan. And Afghans are too stupid to realized. They even kill their brothers while western people happily live. This is a new 21st worlds's war. No torrrist to blow the plane in western country because they are all busy fighting western in Afhanistan.

  • @kbstorror2 How hard you ever fight the enemies, they'll never truly abandon the land.

  • Stop arguing and watch the video of these brave soldiers risking their lives. Forget the politics of the situation, these soldiers don't have the end say in going to war, they're just doing their job; and I commend them for it.

  • I like their morale board haha

  • To be honest, though, the British soldiers are fighting hard and doing well. Yes, they've lost soldiers, but not nearly as many as the Taliban. But victory is impossible. They should leave and let those backward bastards continue living in the stone age. Or better yet, nuke the place and start again...without Afghans.

  • @Mike913123 That will never happen, although I still agree with you... they are on-top of a oil lake pretty much and that's what we want, sad to say it but it's true, I have so much respect for any soldier but FUCK the government, I should be starting my ADSC soon, can't wait.

  • @Mike913123 nuke everyone? you fucking idiot

  • @MrJoviun In terms of being able to declare victory, yes, you'd need to clear the entire country of all civilians. Rename the country to something else...Ameristan. Only way to win there...otherwise it's all a huge waste of taxpayer money!

  • @Mike913123 The civilians ARE the Taliban...and if they're not, they're still so far gone the world would be better off without them....what does Afghanistan contribute to the world aside from illegal drugs? War? Yeah, wipe 'em all out!

  • @Mike913123 And that's a reasoning that will bounce right back into your face

  • @Aredhel11182 What does Afghanistan contribute to the world?

  • Mike913123 And what does UK contribute? Except it was an empire for centuries causing the suffering of immeasurable number of people, all because it wanted to exploit others.

And obviously is still trying to do the same.

See you want to kill everyone there... so if someone conclude that UK doesn't "contribute" (and this statement is confusing... contribute to who's benefit?) that someone have perfectly same right to kill everyone in UK, according to your reasoning.

  • @Aredhel11182 Are you comparing Afghanistan to the UK? Apples and oranges, man. What I'm saying is that it is war and we should treat it as such - ie kill 'em all because this enemy doesn't wear a uniform...so in fairness to the brave soldiers fighting, they shouldn't be restricted by rules of engagement. Kill or be killed...CONTRIBUTE...go look the word up in a dictionary if it is so confusing for you to get the meaning given the context...

  • @Mike913123 And what exactly would you do if some enemy force would enter UK? Would you fight them? And if that force is far more superior, wouldn't be smart to engage your enemy in such a manner?

And who asked you to go there in the first place?

CONTRIBUTE TO WHOM??????? To the UK or to themselves?

And who the fuck supplied afghans with weapons during Soviet occupation?

And remember the word "occupation", that is the present state in Afghanistan now.

  • @Mike913123 The same could've been argued by the Romans when they were trying to conquer Britian. A small, isolated nation with little to no natural resources, a "savage" and uneducated population. Look where Britian is now and you can see the potential for Afganistan

  • @MrShocktrupr You honestly see potential in Afghanistan? Comparing modern times to Roman times is silly. How many decades has Afghanistan been at war? 4? 5? Longer? It's a failed state and chances are it will always remain so due to the lucrative drug trade.

  • @Mike913123 I don't agree to your statement about "the world would be better off without them", it really isn't up to people to determine who lives or not, we're all human aren't we? Yes, i understand that much of the civilian could be talibans in disguise; however, even one of the captains in the "caught in the cross-fire" episode says, "it's not worth destroying someone's home, to kill a couple of taliban? Absolutely not, you might create another 10 taliban from it", just shows it's wrong.

  • @Ghost42C You don't agree...fair enough...are you a heroine addict? What does Afghanistan contribute to the world? What positive contributions do they make? They blew up those ancient buddhas...I stand by what I said - The world would be better off without them. They're fucking backwards and still living in the stone age mentally. Go there and you will see...

  • @Mike913123 So you wouldn't declare me as a troll, I agree with getting rid of Taliban, but not by killing civilians. As Ghost42C said, killing a civilian you potentially are making more Taliban soldiers. If someone kill someone's kid that man will dedicate his life trying to make revenge.

  • They are so unbelievably young to be killed and to take human lives... sad world really.

  • @Tokoroegao No, but they're fighting a losing battle....one that should never have been started in the first place. To win in Afghanistan you need to wipe out everyone...civilians...everyone...

  • @Mike913123 yup i agree with you there mate

  • What a bunch of naive children.

  • Good luck to all of you joining up, this country would be nothing without young people like you

  • @lindalou8120 stop that.

  • Finally the BBC has released the three documentaries of which this is one on DVD, all three are oustanding, thanks to USMCG0811 for posting this so we didnt have to wait for the DVD.
