Something ODD I notice about 70s stuff.........You would think the quality of clips in the 1960s would be worse, but some of the 70's stuff is awful. They must have used some cheap ass film during that decade.

I have a Maytag washer and dryer, and they've had to be fixed. Maytag repairmen aren't the loneliest guys in the world anymore.

OMG I cant believe Maytag is still in business their products suck soooo bad! My new dishwasher is broke my new dryer is broke and I had an old washer that broke.....Imagine that...True Story!

Maytags newer stuff (very late 80's to present) sucked big time, but their older appliances were the best ever.

I think Whirlpool is trying to majorly improve Maytag appliances since they bought them. Let's hope so!

Whirlpool in 2006. When my parents bought the new house in 2001 I warned them not to get a Maytag. Well 9 years later the washer was fixed 5 times and the dryer has to taken apart time and time again to clean the lint off of the fan. Back in 1990 I got them a Whirlpool direct drive washer. In thirteen years nothing went wrong with that machine.

They still haven't found a way to keep light-weight items from flipping over and filling with water.

and they recently recalled them due to it catching fire ... so keep a fire extinguisher handy !

Unfortunately now they don't make them anywhere near as good as they used to. Quite frankly, Maytag dishwashers suck now. I know cause I've had one
