  • You may want to take into account that for the last five years, the Iranian capacity of refining petroleum has quadrupled and is slated to attain self-sufficiency in refining gasoline in the next few years. Recently the 9th refining installation was inaugurated.

Thus, this "Achilles heel" is fleeting and waning as time is progressing. The loop-holes are many because Iran is not obliged to trade in the petro-dollar. In fact, barter and cross-currency transactions circumvent the sanctions.

  • you are Azari, you can pronounce Iran but why do u keep saying Aran?? LOL

  • you said "Iran" so much that i wanted to shoot my laptop.

  • America's 10-year long sanctions agaist Iraq cost the lives of nearly 1MM Iraqi men, women and, children. Have the American people learned nothing from this? Iran should be free to persue its own course, and Israel and the US should just go away; back off.

  • Accurate

  • Very well done!

  • I have question for you. Is Iran to achieve a blockade on the Strait of Hormuz? How can it be possible?

  • @MrKIMBO345 Tehran might be able to block the strait for a short term, but this question has a much deeper context. A panic in the stock markets is enough to start a new economic crisis.

  • Very well done. Thanks.

  • Good points, but Iran is pronounced Ee-raan, not Eye-ran. You pronounce it correctly a few times so I am baffled as to why you don't other times.

  • It is pronounced ERUN not I RAN

  • the only thing i didn;t like was the mic. :P

jk, keep up the good work m8...

  • Iran has more than 11million reservists. It has thousands of small boats capable of launching short and medium range rockets and missiles. It has more than 2000 mobile launchers capable of firing missile both at targets inland and in the sea. It can mobilize a further 10 million soldiers if it needs to.Iran has manufactured small hand held rocket launchers capable of destroying both the Bradly and Abraham tanks. Iran has more than 100,000 anti-cruise and guided anti-aircraft missiles.

  • cont. Oh yes this report should have mentioned the level of domestic discontent within Iran that may force the mullahs hand into striking out hoping the Iranian people would rally behind them in the face of a common enemy.

  • (cont) weapons would guarantee Israels destruction.) US has sufficient strategic forces with conventional weapons to set Iranian capability back for years. I agree that an attempt to close the straits by Iran would result in a short term spike in prices but question the long term economic damage such a spike would cause. You also neglected to mention that the Saudi govt is also very interested in insuring that Iran does not posess nuclear weapons capability. Other than that great report.

  • @AmericanPatriot53

If u seriously believe the theory that Russia is "trying to keep the US bogged down in the mid-east while it asserts its control in eastern Europe" then u are hopelessly uninformed as to Russia's foreign policy goals & strategic objectives.

Not to mention that the whole scenario of Russia asserting its long gone control in eastern Europe while Washington is busy in Iran is childish, completely unrealistic & ignores Russia's long partnership with the EU.

  • @AmericanPatriot53

Having said that Russia does have strategic interests in the Ukraine/Belorussia & will not let them become NATO playgrounds. As for Poland/Baltic states Russia knows that they are firmly within the Western alliance & wants nothing more than good relations with them.

The reason that Russia is against attacking Iran is simpler than this report suggests! Russia genuinely believes that a US strike on Iran while have destabilizing regional consequences.

  • @bossmastercheif I'm not in a position to disagree completely in regards to Russian foreign policy since I do not feel well enough informed. (although I believe their support of Assad is a big mistake). The region is already highly unstable and I doubt that the US will strike Iran unless they move to close the straits. This is the clearly drawn line in the sand. Other than that I am sure Russian strategic thinkers would prefer the US attention on the middle east rather than in the caucuses.

  • @AmericanPatriot53

I disagree, Russias blockage of the attempted western overthrow of Assad is perfectly in order & should have been done earlier in Libya. Libya was a failure for Russia's diplomacy as they believed western assurances that NATO would not actively engage in the overthrow of Gaddafi but merely keep the warring factions aside so as to minimize civilian casualties. Russia knows better than to allow this scenario in Syria & that US interests are not humanitarian.

  • @AmericanPatriot53

Iran will not block the straits unless a US/Israeli strike has already begun, but i believe the US/Israel will size the first opportunity to strike at Iran.

True, Russia is unhappy about US meddling in the Caucasus (especially after they encouraged Georgia's aggression) but this is not the reason Russia is against attacking Iran. Russia's main concern is regional stability, but they also mistrust Western official intentions & in the region.

  • @bossmastercheif I would love to make a wager on the Iranian developments. Tomorrow IAEA inspectors are scheduled to inspect an underground facility that they have previously been denied access to. (this is kind of a big deal). Expect results will take more than a week to make public. RT previously speculated that Assad was on his last legs but this week Assad implemented a serious crackdown. If Assad falls then Russia loses its only base in the gulf. Georgian aggression? Depends who you ask.

  • @AmericanPatriot53

Actually Syria is not "Russia's base in the Gulf" as its not even next to the Persian Gulf! U probably mean Mediterranean.

Georgias attack against S.Ossetia & the Russian peacekeepers is pretty obvious to most objective analysts except to the ones that encouraged the aggression in the first place.

I don't think the IAEA will find a Cassus belli in Iran. I just hope Iran is not provoked by the terrorist acts carried out by Israel against its citizens.

  • @bossmastercheif "Russian peacekeepers" is just a diplomatic term for Russian occupation. Note that throughout history the Russians have never actually declared war but rather "defended" themselfs or "minorities" in foreign lands. The whole idea of self-determination for Abkhazia and South Ossetia is based on hypocrisy. Why can Russians take back control in Chechniya but Georgia cannot take back its lands? Moscow uses "peacekeepers" as means of pressure on Georgia.

  • @CaspianReport

Nonsense! The Russians were in these territories legally & were called in there by the UN & by the belligerents themselves in order to prevent further bloodshed!

If u wanna talk about hypocrisy then the same double standards apply to the western "peacekeepers" in Kosovo! Why do Albanians in Kosovo have the right to secede from Serbia while this same right is denied to the minorities inside Georgia? Because the West has an interest in Kosovo's independence!

  • @bossmastercheif Well legally Chechniya was an independent state, recognized by Russia during the rule of Yeltsin. But the recognition was quickly annuled by Putin. Thats why I mentioned the hypocrisy of Russian peacekeepers in Georgia. And yeah the same hypocrisy applies to Kosovo aswell. The fact is international law is second to geopolitical interests. There is an old saying, "You must be strong to have rights" by Azerbaijani general Ali-Agha Shikhlinski.

  • @CaspianReport CP, if you have an opportunity to do a video on Kosovo it would be appreciated.

  • @CaspianReport

I don't know where u got your information from but this is totally false! Russia never recognized Chechnya as an independent state (FACT) & neither did any other country with the exception of Taliban controlled Afghanistan! This is a well known fact & u can check this out quite easily on Wikipedia or if u own any literature on the subject.

I agree with the rest of what u said & i like the quote...

  • @bossmastercheif No its true, this information never spread father then the Caucasus. The universities in Tbilisi and Baku still have copies of the documents. Yeltsin recognized the sovereignty of Chechnya and the territorial integrity was already controlled by Chechen troops. Georgia too, had recognized the independence. So it was just one step away from international recognition, thats when Putin stepped in and did what Yeltsin couldnt, destroy the city of Grozny.

  • @CaspianReport

Sorry, but I don't believe your statements. Do u have any proof to support your theory?

If such documents really existed they would have been made public a long time ago. Besides it makes absolutely no sense that Yeltsin would have recognized Chechnya's independence. What was in it for him? Any such recognition would have made him extremely unpopular in his own party & among all sectors of Russian society!

Fact is Russia never recognized Chechen independence.

  • @bossmastercheif check this out; 13th of May, 1997 Moscow Kremlin B. Yeltsin and A.Maskhadov signed a peace theaty after which Yeltsin is officially called Maskhadov as President of Chechen Republic Ichkeria, this is officially recognition. Link is below

  • @bossmastercheif Your right about the Med... jumping around too much. Like I said the Georgian situation depends on who you ask.

  • @AmericanPatriot53

Sure, almost anything depends on who u ask but there are also certain undeniable facts which help us to form our political opinions. One such fact is that Georgia initiated hostilities & not vice versa...

  • @bossmastercheif In the case of Georgia the devil is in the details. Consider how many people here on YT keep proposing that 911 was a false flag operation. We stake a claim to those beliefs that support our interests and ideals. Look at this idiot Nasrallah claiming that Hezbollah won a great military victory over the US military. It's clear that this is not true but some people will cling to it.

  • @AmericanPatriot53

Nasrallah claimed that Hezbollah won a great victory against Israel not the US! This may be an exaggeration but Hezbollah certainly gave the Israelis a bloody nose...

There are many questions that still remain unanswered about 911. I have never been much of a conspiracy theorist & i wouldn't call it a false flag operation but there are many segments of the official version that i find very hard to swallow...

  • @bossmastercheif Nasrallas also claimed victory in Iraq if you can believe that.

  • @AmericanPatriot53 Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn, you're like... Everywhere :P

  • @arsacesofconcobar Lol similar interests with opposing view points.

  • Another great report and while I think your insights over Russian interests are outstanding, I think you missed the mark on a few items. I believe that the Israeli threat against Iran is more threat than substance. Israel would need the cooperation of neighboring countries in order to launch an attack and while it's air force is well equipped for tactical operations, its strategic options are limited to missles and possible nuclear warheads (a preemptive strike by the Israelis with nuclear

  • @AmericanPatriot53 Domestic discontent in Iran, Saudi interests and Isreali cooperation are all three good valid point. But I didnt want to tap into the geopolitics of the entire Middle East. If I did, I would have to include Bahrain, Qatif, Syria, etc, and that would be going off subject. This report is solely about the sanctions and why they are so difficult to implement.

  • Iran is now totally independent for gasolin imports, so your info is about 6 months old!!

  • @iraaus that does not have any relevance to this article he provided

he said that if the Strait of Hormuz is closed , then the Price of Gasoline will rocket .

it is not about the prices of Solely Iran's Gasoline , it's about Iraq , Saudi's UAE etc etc .

  • @iraaus Give a source for you info on Iran being independent and requiring imports.

  • nothing new here, no new info or insights.

  • I sure hope President Obama sticks to his word.

  • Very nice report, you put it well in English go job.

I wish our Media in the USA would have analysis like this.

I came to the same conclusion about a year ago. The global leaders want that location, Iran, they have changed that whole region to be followers of a particular agenda.

I am not anti US or Anit Iran. I am Anti-colonialization, Anti conformist, Anti Machiavellian

  • nice report

  • if iran starts to mine the straight: 1. its a long process to lay the mines, its not a long process for the US to fire a missile. 2. even if they did manage to lay a mine, it would barely scratch an oil tanker. 3. the US would wipe there offensive capability of the face of the earth in hours. opec knows this as do major oil companys.

  • @docbaddass That wont stop the price rising. A mere hint of risk is enough to cause oil prices to shoot up.

  • VIVA IRAN!

    FUCK uSA AND NATO'S SWINE!

  • I have a question. Why is uk usa is more worried about the national interests of israel more then the national interests of their own. They go to wars which they dont have to just to please israel even if those wars destroy their economies.ANd countries who had fought for each other for so long, after ww2 share the same objectives suddenly. And why did britan created israel in palestine?Doesnt that show jews have control over all these countries and jews are behind every thing?

  • @Ilovejews18 Thats simply not true, the Iranian nuclear issue is more related to the interests of Saudi Arabia then Israel. Its easy to blame Israel and the Jewish diaspora for everything but its unfair. For example nobody says anything about the massive Saudi lobby in Washington. The Middle East was divided in many countries because the concept of nationhood wasnt yet developed in the Arab world. For more watch the video "Origins of Israel Palestinian Conflict".

  • This video is really an eye opener. I never knew why sanctions against Iran were so difficult.

  • Putin... a former KGB agent...

THAT is why i never ever trusted him to this day.

  • Im turkish and I want Iran to be taken out. Iranians are cutting of turkish interest in the middle east because they want radical islam to dominate in the middle-east. Why are you posting pro-russian bullshit? Russia needs to get the f out of the caususus, so azarbijan and turks can deal with armenian land grab of your soul. I thought we were friends.

  • @erdal0 How did you find this pro-Russian? Article just shows us the view of Russia on this matter..Please tell me how this is pro-Russian?

  • @BronzePlaque he chooses Russian side. Russia is our biggest enemy for turkic influence. Russia supports Armenia and occupies turkic land.

  • @erdal0 I think you misunderstood him, he didnt chose Russian side.

  • If the risk of transporting oil and other resources trough the Hormuz strait goes up, due to blockade, war, or other issues, the prize of incurance for the shipping companies will go way up. Just as in 1987 when a oil tanker hit a mine in Hormuz.

Thanx 4 the upload, great video =)

  • @TooLF8th Good point, I think even if Iran cant block it, a panic is enough to start a new economic crisis.

  • @AzeriSister I agree. Also, Iran closing the strait, doesn`t have to mean they do it by military force. All they have to do, is send out some mines, or cause damage to a oil-tanker, and the shipping companies would be in a world of trouble.

Have you concidered using ZippCast as an alternative to youtube?

Many of the alternative media is doing it now, and so am I.

Still some beta issues there, but nice as an back-up in case youtube become to cencored ;)

    Peace&Love
