@andithat -- One million Israeli citizens are Arabs living in Israel. I have seen people of all religions and birth countries eat shawarma in Israel daily. They love the diet and don't argue whose taste it is because it is everyone's taste. The guy in the video who prepared the shawarma is a Jew whose parents were natives of Iraq, an Arab country that persecuted them, stole their property and livelihoods, and exiled them on religious grounds. No group's hands are clean; souls of none are pure.
@andithat Good for you thinking about what you wrote and evaluating my reply. An environment cannot cause anyone to do anything unless they have a closed mind. Consider the source of statements you hear and think critically about tough questions. You might have grown up in one environment, yet now you can choose a different way. Hatred breeds hatred, as you know.
@micabear I agree with your post 100% The fact of the matter is that multiple ethnic groups...arabs,jews,druids,beduins and others all have lived in the same land for thousands of years and they all enjoy the same foods which are a staple of this part of the world.
The word comes from a Turkish word that means "turning." Shawarma is a popular dish and fast-food staple across the Middle East and North Africa; it has also become popular worldwide.
Wish I could eat some of this delicacy. It looks delicious indeed.

Döner Kebab is turkish... The type of the bread is different... (Döner = turning... Kebab = meat)
Shawarma is arabic...
The Giro was Invented by Iskender in Bursa. But the Döner Kebab by a Turk who still lives in Germany...
