  • Wow, this was a time when the best artists actually wore clothing and were judged on their musical ability. I miss those days.....

  • I'm a Marine who was in the Gulf War, and I'm not offended by Natalie being worried about us. War is a terrible thing that shouldn't be taken lightly! And sometimes our fearless leaders do make decisions that are more of a personal nature. It's a fact folks!!! We need true red blooded Americans leading this country! Leaders who truly love our fellow countryman, and wouldn't put them in harms way unless it was in our best interest! Not in the interests of Oil Tycoons!! Support our Troops

  • Excellent video, excellent song. The Dixie Chicks were great. To bad they no longer perform.

  • They are such great musicians, Natalie is a awesome vocalist, they just need to keep their personal politics out of their performances, people pay to see them play to forget about the worlds problems, not be reminded of the dickheads who run this nation.

  • When country music was great. For the most part its gone downhill since we lost the chicks. I really miss hearing them on the radio, at least I have their cds.....

  • Thought she is skinhead.

  • Such a powerful and wonderful song! I love it soo much! It makes me tear up every time I hear especially a live singing of it. I think that's better than a recorded one.

  • Such great musicians. Hard to find talented singers like this today. Such a shame they were punished for speaking their opinions. What happened to free speech? Just because they aren't Bush fans (how many people are?) doesn't mean they aren't patriotic. I'm ready for the Chicks to comeback.

  • Is there anything sexier than a woman who can play the fiddle, except a woman who can play the steel guitar

  • So Sad Country Music...you lost 3 Brilliant Ladies!

Will always be a fan of the Dixie Chicks!

  • the "country" fans treated them wrong!!! They stood for what the USA stands for. freedom!!!

  • I don't support the war . I support our troops. I also think one of the best things about America is the we have free speech . It must be guarded. Free speach even unpopular speach or dissension must remain an American right . You go girl.

  • Get the fuck out of Europe Yankees, & take your "democracy" and your red communists with you!

    1488!

  • @OPINIONATED1933 Go Fuck Yourself A hole

  • @OPINIONATED1933 Piss off ahole

  • @OPINIONATED1933 We'll leave take our military and watch when the Brits have to bail y'all out. Like Islam do you? Hope so. Ass

  • @OPINIONATED1933 Dickhead hope you like Islam. and being a pussy.

  • @Reagan1rocks

It is because of you yankee fucks that islam got spread into europe, your fucking re-education and your meddling in all politics and the mass promotion of the melting pot system have now resulted in 54 million muslims on the european continent.

if anyone says anything pro white europe, or old europe, they get a ticket or go to jail for what they said thanks to your fuckin us made laws enforced upon europe.

  • @OPINIONATED1933 the Moors were in Europe longs before the new world of discovered

  • I don't support the war, but I do support our troops; and this song is a reminder of the lives lost because of it. God Bless our troops and bring them home soon!!!

  • Person can support war or not.. it's personal thing ... that's not patriotism ...

Real patriotism is to support woman and man in service of the country 5000 miles from home.

It was long time ago i was in one small army opposite to us army, defending my land, but i know very well how much all solders like letters, package and support from home and local community.

Give them support when they are away from home and later on after the war, then they need support too.

    bad english sorry :)

  • The 2 that rated this thumbs down must smoking to much crack and listening to rap!!!!!

  • few songs have the power to move you like this one and every time i hear it ,it makes me very thankful that i have never had to lose someone i love so much to the tragedy of war,but very appreciative of those who have.

  • the one on the lap steel... oh my god.

  • I wanna see them in Hamburg Germany !!!!!!

  • Awesome song, awesome vocals, and the music isn't far off awesome either, but I feel the song would be more haunting (if that's the right word) with just the three girls and the drummer. A timeless song, and one that I'll still be listening to thirty or forty years down the line.

  • This biatch can sure sing..probably the best female singer I know

  • love the dixies true talent

  • its reagan not regan i would kno my last name is regan

  • chickie plays the shit out of that resinator!

  • Natalie Maines is sooo beautiful.

whatever style she has, shes always beautiful.

  • haha she looks like a pirate

  • its a sad song a really sad song

  • I love this song... it's so sad but it reminds us of the reality of war...and the stupid decisions of the politicians.

  • I get shivers from this! Good! But stupid politicians!!!

  • the most stupid comment-what does not wanting war to not supporting the troops??

I hate what we -Canadians-are doing in Afghanistan but I am very oh so proud of them for risking their lives to do sthg they believe in.

However I hate the WAR! And the Prime Minister as well for that matter....so they are 2 different things.

  • Not always war is necessary, wepaons of mass destruction anyone? The only destruction is the one they left in Iraq...What I'm against are the decisions of the politicians to send these people to war for things that are completely foreign to us.Rebuild Afghanistan does anyone really know how? Do we know the country's history to know its future? Do we have a plan? Or just letting soldiers die day after day... so I am against the war and all that entails. Soldiers are just doing their job.

  • country....soldiers don't make choices to go to war they obey orders. If the orders are bullshit you've put the soldiers in a bullshit position. You can ask them to continue dying for bullshit reasons or you can try and get them home. I don't take the lives of my fellow Americans lightly...they took an oath to defend our country....we owe them honesty and we owe them missions that no one can question "was it worth it".

  • wittumy..... ya no shit soldiers don't make the choice to go to war.But their not draftees they volunteered and of course they would rather not be in a war. As to whether u think going into Iraq is bullshit is up to you. I'm proud of what the soldiers have done in Iraq. I think its about time that Iraqi people take over but i think its great what was accomplished.

  • Country...eight out of ten Americans agree that the Iraq war is bullshit. Many of those who think that served in Iraq or had family members there. Volunteerism has nothing to do with this issue.. troops obey orders. If the order sucks they're the ones who suffer not people like you who so cavalierly send them into the horrors of war. I'm tired of arming and training those who support arab goals. We've supported Saddam and Bin Laden and Pakistan intelligence...remember they wer friends once too.

  • agreed. And only Bush would go attacking Iraq when the people who attacked the US came from Afghanistan. Perhaps he's geographically challenged?

  • macai....perhaps Bush is just challenged in general. Iraq was never the danger Pakistan presented and the Saudis aren't exactly our best friends yet there was Bush holding hands with them.

  • Absolutely, not to mention his father and Regan feed the Taliban weapons for years when they were trying to get the Soviets out of Afghanistan. Oh boy, the tangled web some people weave...

  • Its called being a conscientious objector you idiot

  • Actually, I don't support the war, but that doesn't mean I don't support our troops. My uncle is in the war. I support him completly, but that doesn't mean I like the war or that I support it in anyway.

  • i try not to cry in this song when i sing it i cant get through it without crying

  • i sang this song at a county fair when i was 8

    its sooo good

i fell in love with it when i was 5 and have been listening to the dixie chicks for years now

  • I really like this song. SO sad

  • great great & great!! Love them so much xxx

  • they're soo amazing live, such a great group!

  • Forgot about the 2003 ACMs via satellite when Nat wore the funny shirt. They performed Godspeed (Sweet Dreams)...love that song and love them!!

  • This was such a great performance at the CMAs... and it was a little under a yr. before their cd was even released and this also marks the last performance on the CMAs (and correct me if I'm wrong, but any country music awards show) for them... it just hasn't been the same since for country music. Sad. :(

  • @paulclark79 that sucks :( for fans of real, meaningful, and beautiful music.

but hope those people are happy with the musicians singing about sticking boots in peoples asses, stupid songs about beer/trucks, and all the mindless american flag/saluting soldier imagery...

  • @paulclark79 actually they performed later on an awards show singing not ready to make nice
