lol I could totally see them keeping the very end (when he goes "Daaaamnn!...I like that!") on the CD like they did at the end of drive in drive out when you hear one of them go "that..is bad as shit!"
And this is why when those grooves start happening and they are insinc with each other, they need to leave the Jams on the record, because to me, thats what music is all about.
wow, when 2 session musicians who were born free and then bridled by the studio, let loose. Those who are bridled being the very best of the best, so to see them run wild... its craaaaaaaaaaaazy!
Was "Stand Up" their best work? No. But I also don't think it was as bad as it's been made out to be. It's biggest crime was not sounding like their earlier work. But how many artists do you know whose sixth album sounds just like their first and second?
Thank You! The album was somewhat of an experiment i think. You nailed it on the head with your words! No matter what, its the dave matthews band playing music for us!, and their is nothing that could make it anything short of spectacular! They are the premier talented band of my generation! I remember getting their first album in like 3rd grade! Thank you Dave, Leroi, Carter, Stefan, Boyd, and Mr. Butch Taylor
i don't even know what i said... my big brother was on my account i'm sorry if you don't believe me but he was... please tell me what i said and i will apologize
You allow someone to use your account? That's a good way to lose it...that's if you are telling the truth about him. Just keep your BIG brother off and these issues won't come up again. No need to apologize..it's just sad.
Aside from Batson's production... It's such a shame because he's obviously an incredibly talented musician. DMB is a jam band. Batson ruined Stand Up with his cut-and-paste attitude, completely bypassing the players' musical intuition. I like it but I think it's the least sincere DMB studio album.
I agree with you except the sincere part. Regardless of what they do...or how they change...I have a really good feeling their music will always be sincere. Just my opinion though.....
Sadly, this was probably just Carter beating the crap out of his set since Batson destroyed any level of musicanship on Stand Up. No wonder Carter's jamming out by himself...Batson was probably replacing real drums with drum machine loops. God, and to think we fans were excited about this album from these videos.
The best thing mark batson contributed to Stand Up
