Lee Dorman is incredibly underrated; Eric Brann is Fripp and Belew before Fripp and Belew. Very underrated group!

I honestly believe that Lee Dorman is the finest rock bass player of this era. I listen to Iron butterfly for two reasons: Incredible music, and Lee Dorman. I just love it- I love a bass line as complex as what he plays.

This was the original heavy music. Before Sabbath and the rest. My Dad really enjoyed these guys, and I enjoyed dusting off his vinyl and discovering this music as well.

So glad this song is finally here. My favorite Iron Butterfly song. I like the idea of flapping butterfly wings at the beginning! I also think it sounds like life emerging from the void, and then at the end of the song, the music stops, and only time beats on, slowly fading with consciousness. Or not, but I just noticed that tonight.
