Im not sure how many of the cata noobs actually understand the difficulty of this. I mean, if you scrubs can't coordinate a group of 10....try getting 40 to execute movements flawlessly. A full raid of 40 is a hella lotta people.
It's a shame. I miss Vanilla WoW, more of a community in your 40 man raids and guilds (Duh) but I really enjoyed the technical requirements for 40 people 'cause as my guild only do 10 man raids co-ordination is quite basic for me. Raids are too easy now. There are no "hard" raids anymore. Back in Vanilla people would spend HOURS and HOURS doing 1 single raid. Now, you can whip through a raid in an hour because of the outrageous gear. I liked it when If you had no proffs you had no money. I miss the old guild runs D:

Don't get me wrong, WotLK had some pretty faceroll raids and the heroics were a joke. But Ulduar and the LK fight were damn tough, if you disagree, I'm assuming you never ran them during their tier and have just stuck to the biased community.
Also, some of the bosses in the first three raids can be interchanged in rank. Naxxramas only had a few that I put it in first for. I've played PreBC but I never reached 60 before BC was released so I never did the raids then. But I did do alot of research on them and tried them during BC and they were still tough.
Overall, PreBC was extremely tough. But there was alot of QQ on how long it took to get gear the the people online to run.
Wow!! You must be doing, like 100 dps!!! Anyway, old Naxx owned. But @furydeath AQ40 was the top tier. Killing C'thun meant you had serious balls. Too bad Naxx is gone though. I wish they (for Ony too) had a 10/25/40 man options, 40 man being the vanilla version of course.

The oldest players can easily defeat the new bosses in a matter of days because of at least 3 years of experience. Brand new players can't.

The reason it is so easy now is not because the dmg is low, their hp is low, but because blizzard OP'd stats so much, especially end-TBC. that is something they cannot fix, thus making a hard encounter is very hard.

@spendizzzle That's cause naxx was the first tier in wotlk. For pre BC you have to get gear from MC to do BWL then from there to do AQ40 and then get gear from AQ40 to have any chance of doing naxx.

You get 10% dmg bonus from each person near you with the same charge,half the raid gets positive while the other half gets negative, so 200%. You also deal 2k dmg per second to the players near you with the opposite charge.
thaddius does give a damage buff when you stand next to people with the same charge so only the damage on the first adds is actually normal damage pre tbc
i did a naxx run the other week, its a shame how easy all the old content is now, Gluth is a joke now that fear has been nerfed, this fight too, the only way to die is if like 6 people manage to screw up the charges ~12k damage then :P
love the music, the damage, i dunno anything about having only played a holy priest pre tbc, never saw any dmg number above 1k ^^

@murcroadster Dude, the tactics now are exactly the same, not sure if you ever thought about that. The reason it is so easy now is not because the dmg is low, their hp is low, but because blizzard OP'd stats so much, especially end-TBC. that is something they cannot fix, thus making a hard encounter is very hard.

@murcroadster The thing is, the best gear is not given to you. That's the purpose of heroic modes, and the majority of them desserved thair name (5man dungeons excepted).

@furydeath Don't get me wrong, it was hard. But it was hard because it required 40 people not 25. And by the time 25 man came along everyone already knew the strategies. That, in my opinion, is the only reason it's considered a "joke".

@furydeath in wotlk, 95% of guilds raided naxx. in prebc, which was the best everr, less then 5% of guilds could raid this place... that shows how blizzard is bieng more leanient to n00bz

@spendizzzle That's cause naxx was the first tier in wotlk. For pre BC you have to get gear from MC to do BWL then from there to do AQ40 and then get gear from AQ40 to have any chance of doing naxx.

You get 10% dmg bonus from each person near you with the same charge,half the raid gets positive while the other half gets negative, so 200%. You also deal 2k dmg per second to the players near you with the opposite charge.

thaddius does give a damage buff when you stand next to people with the same charge so only the damage on the first adds is actually normal damage pre tbc

i did a naxx run the other week, its a shame how easy all the old content is now, Gluth is a joke now that fear has been nerfed, this fight too, the only way to die is if like 6 people manage to screw up the charges ~12k damage then :P
love the music, the damage, i dunno anything about having only played a holy priest pre tbc, never saw any dmg number above 1k ^^
