  • Awesome model! It would be nice if the .OBJ file was made of more than one piece though so the rotors could be moved :)

  • Can you please make a tutorial??

  • I WANT IT

  • sweet

  • @ReconSniperGuy

Go to blendercookie you can find some great tutorials there

  • How can I rotate the propellers in Cinema 4D?

  • Can you do this in blender also? I just downloaded it and I know shit about 3d modeling.

  • @ReconSniperGuy Yes. Make a turbosquid account (its free). Go to the link in the video description, it will take to to the helicopter. In the upper right hand corner there should be a "download' button. Click it. This should take you to your "purchases and downloads" page, where the helicopter should be. Beneath the helicopter, there are two links, click the second one, "Apache_OBJ.zip." Once this downloads, open blender, go to file>Import>Wavefront. Navigate to your download and voila.

  • @lucasB823 tanks alot! and btw your bf3 video is awesome.

  • @lucasB823 tanks alot! It realy gona help. and sorry to keep asking stuff but how to you place it on your fotage like you did on the battlefield 3 video?

  • @ReconSniperGuy This isn't my video =P. But i know how to do it, its a little bit difficult though. You have to track the camera. There are several ways to do this. If you have a PC you could use the free Voodoo camera tracker (google, "voodoo camera tracking"). Another, more elegant alternative is to download blender 2.6 Tomato Branch, this is a build of blender that is not officially released yet. It has a built in camera tracker. But mostly your on your own. Look up some tutorials.

  • @ReconSniperGuy Im fairly new to blender as well, some I'm also figuring stuff out as i go ;)

  • @lucasB823 ok then, thanks anyway.

  • i would give up all the info i learned on c++, c#, c, visual basic, javascript, and php just to be able to make something as good as this. you have a talent ;D

  • This is spectacular.

  • Rendering 101: NEVER CLICK PHYSICAL SUN AND SKY !

  • I like the model, but I think the texture needs to be improved a little, maybe give it some darkened/worn areas such as where the outer metal connects with each other.

  • Did you follow a tutorial? If so where can I get it?

  • nice!

  • UH-1H Search and Rescue Huey, though may convert it to an RNZAF version.

  • 2 tips. its to thin and the engines are to low. apart from that amazing model.

  • hey i have a question. umm how do you render a full animation? i only know how to render a certain frame and stuff but nobody has explained to me how to render a full animation/movie (such as this camera circling the apache)

also how do you add a sky all of my backgrounds are black D:

    thanks!

  • @RevolutionStudiosPro you must animate a camera and then batch render. Maya gives you a bunch of images. then use after effects or whatever you want to make a video. (also you can view your rendered sequence with Fcheck under "File --> View Sequenz"

background -> physical sun and sky in mental ray preferences

  • hey, awesome model im tring to do a black hawk and im just wondering how you started it, you got any tips?

also dide you use NURBS and covert to polygon after?

  • sice jsem psal do toho vašeho videa. ale jestli takhle vypadá longbow, tak končím s 3D grafikou.

  • awesome. now can you show us this same model in flight?

  • ... fuck yes.

  • hey, how did you manage to render daytime motion in maya

  • @pim7777 in the render options for mental ray under the indirect lighting tab you can add a physical sun and sky to the scene.

  • Y£££££££££$

  • Make for BFBC2

  • hey man, that looks awesome! I like the details!

  • @rarf2142 Thanks a lot! :)
