4th of July Fireworks - Navy Pier - July 4, 2010 - Chicago, IL USA (3)

Went to Chicago on the first leg of my vacation with the girl friend. She wanted to see them. When it was over we both thought it was lame and wasn't worth the trip.

I tried getting back to Navy Pier to see them but was told I needed a wristband.

Lucky I we were able to see a good fireworks display at Disney World 2 days later. next year, we will be going back to Disney for 4th of July fireworks fix.

Oh, and no port-a-potties available for the public either outside of Navy Pier...

i was there on a vacation, i went to the pier and it was closed but to the right of the pier (facing it) there was a walkway and thats where i was, it was awesome

I got to wach it from my house cuz they where doing fire works on montrose and I saw it on tv to that sucks it started to rain but oh wills

too far away should've gone to navy pier there was not that many people as I expected the view was awesome

@taco7976 They actually shut down Navy Pier before I got there. It was at overcapacity. The scene here is near the Swiss Hotel near Columbus Drive east of Michigan Avenue.

@MyChicagoJourneys I totally forgot about the shut down. I did not notice the overcrowding because I was at work in the grand ballroom. There was plenty of space there on the roof 3rd floor,2nd floor balcony or terrace & 1st floor out side or ballroom. All this is just a little past the beer garden uyou got to try it some time on saturdays . not as long as july 4 fireworks but close up.
