Personally, my favorite part is from 2:11 to 2:39. I think that's the best example of Dave Mustaine having good vocals. People talk crap on his vocals, I think that's the part I'd show as a counter-point... not necessarily because it's the best vocal performance but because it conveys the mood perfectly.

Dave took part only in the first two Metallica albums (Kill 'Em All and Ride The Lightning, good albums btw). What i want to say is that Metallica did not fall apart when Dave left as some of you are implying. They made Master Of Puppets, And Justice For All and The Black Album and other good CD's without Dave. Metallica and Megadeth are two awesome bands, whoever bitch about "Metallica is better, Megadeth is better herp derp" is just a poser.

@Mika151 I saw Megadeth back in 1997. Marty Friedman kept throwing his pick out in the crowd between every song. At one point, I happened to look right at him and he threw his guitar pick right at me! I had it in my possession for so many years but it somehow ended up missing. It said Megadeth on it, had the Cryptic Symbols on it, and it also had Marty Friedman's signature. He also made his solos look easier than they actually were when he played. They all looked like they had fun.

@Meeghell Nothing wrong with different versions of songs. That's why I love Led Zeppelin. Live, they don't play the songs the same way twice. Keeps it more interesting. When it comes to the original studio recordings though, I want to hear it the way I did when it was originally released. Some remastered works are decent. I'm not biased towards either the originals or the remasters of the RIP, but they both have their pros and cons. The guitar tone is more raw on the original and I like that. The drum sound is WAY better on the remaster, especially the kick and snare. The remaster captures Ellefson's talent a lot more. The overall mix on the remaster is obviously better, but the original sounds like an actual live performance, because it's not perfected like the remaster. I'm just glad I have both to listen to...

@SowhatRustinpeace You must of heard of Evile, Bonded by Blood, Violator, Gama Bomb and Municipal waste though? Just a few new thrash bands that are awesome. Also loads of the old skool bands (including Megadeth) are still banging out new albums or reforming (Overkill, Testament and Destruction to name a few).... Thrash is still alive and kicking!

I'm not biased towards either the originals or the remasters of the RIP, but they both have their pros and cons. The guitar tone is more raw on the original and I like that. The drum sound is WAY better on the remaster, especially the kick and snare. The remaster captures Ellefson's talent a lot more. The overall mix on the remaster is obviously better, but the original sounds like an actual live performance, because it's not perfected like the remaster. I'm just glad I have both to listen to...

But if this is not the case? can the title refer to the very nuclear weapons as a wish that they will rust in peace (will not be used) and the earth will be saved? Hmm tough one .
