I was actually there for over a week and I needed the hard drives for a website that I was working on designing along with the fact that my video files are hosted on one of them and I believe I released about 3 videos while I was there. So yes, I did need all of them. Overkill would have been taking my 24" display, printer, and surround sound.
Nice bed. :D Personally, I would have slept on the floor and killed my back. Great video once again, though not very geeky. You should have busted down a few walls and put a few racks of servers. Then it would be geeky.
