@TheLeetCasualGamer Isn't that the case for most fighting games. Because I've seen people go crazier than this when they were still showing clips for MVC3 before it came out. It's basically hype and the excitement of others rubbing off on others

@Drjklv2 Well, MVC3 was a third installment to a popular series. Most people in that audience would be interested in that genre. Also MVC2 was released in the year 2000, the wait also caused more hype so it's pretty understandable. But from most MLP fans have an interest for ponies and it's only going to be a few individuals who are interested in fighting games as well. Where I'm trying to get at is, the hype seems more revolved around the hype of ponies being in it.

Look at the amount of hype that UMVC3 gets when its played in tournaments, people just love to see characters get 100% KO'ed in one combo, even if they have no actual knowledge of what makes or breaks a fighting game.

@LordFrood Have you played fighting games at a party where everyone's eyes are on the screen? If you haven't, then you should know everyone gets excited and into it. I felt myself also going "OOHH" and "AHHH" as I was betting on who would win each fight.

The first fight especially with Twlight vs. Applejack was very close.

I could say the same about people getting overexcited about football or any other sport where people cheer like crazy when their favorite people get the ball etc.
