@Shortbus5100 did i just witness an intelligent and peaceful debate and discussion in the comments section of a youtube video? usually its just curse words and insults, nice to know theres some decent people on here.
@Shortbus5100 If you're looking for an argument brother, you won't find one with me. If you feel it is wrong to alter your brain chemistry, then you shouldn't do so. We all have to find fulfillment in this life through experience, not argument on things we know little about. Unless you have firsthand experience with psychedelics, a dialogue about its harmfulness is impossible. Do what you need to be happy my friend, and I will do the same.
@Shortbus5100 I take no offense at your life choices.. we all need to follow a path that lies within our own reason. My limited experience(twice) with this chemical have left my life enriched in a way I could have never thought possible. Please understand I was only sharing another possible viewpoint that you could perhaps benefit from.
these are not true affects of led. led users take led for the journey or "trip" it is an experience that takes advantage of life and you in it. false video
interesting. I have never done illegal drugs or abused legal drugs, never even drank alcohol, never plan to, but always been extremely curious. It's a wonder why anyone would want to feel that way, it looks horrible. Thanks for this.
Thanks so much for posting this! Certainly an amazing piece of LSD history. I feel bad for poor Ronnie though, they purposely made him uncomfortable so they could promote their new drug. However I also admit that a substance like this would seem to be very valuable! If it worked as it looked like it did, it seems like ER's all over should have this on hand...I'm very curious to learn more.
I wouldn't want to be treated as a guinea pig while tripping, no way.
Think a better way would be to let the subject just write stuff down or talk about his feelings, not being frigging interogated, doctor was like some heavy duty cop.
both very hard try to fulfill teach one`s role......and there are two suckers in the room.... an old sucker (who should know..and as he does not may be titeled a.....hole) and a young scientist, with the potentials of a certain Brat Masters.....:-)))
The second trip was similar to mine. I took LSD a month ago, and though all the intense side effects went away I still feel disconnected from reality.
@losttweaty was just thinking the exact same thing... even though this is grainy and low quality, you can see it in his face when the faceless head asks things like "do you feel blah blah blah" or "describe blah blah blah"
@losttweaty was just thinking the exact same thing... even though this is grainy and low quality, you can see it in his face when the faceless head asks things like "do you feel blah blah blah" or "describe blah blah blah" 14:00 sums it up pretty well. "this behavior has been described repeatedly during investigations of LSD-25 psychosis." The problem wasn't the drug, it was the method of investigation and subjects tested... Of course a psyche grad student would be paranoid...
@Baxxter101 I could not imagine going through this , I've had bad trip when I was with people I loved and though everything was going to be just fine , To sit through some questionaire in a little room for that long with nothing to stimulate you like music , and no excercises to keep your mind straight , your most definitely going to experience a bad trip , that doesn't mean he couldn't come to an epiphany of some sort and gain termendous beneficial knowledge but it won't be too enjoyable.. lol
Well instead of the incessant questioning about what that guy is experiencing why doesn't that old geezer just shut the hell up with the questions and drop a hit himself.
So the whole purpose of this was to see if LSD would help the paranoia or psycocis of scysophrenia (yea i can't spell).Would this "Frenquel" be simular to Seroquel, today? I need to google this to see if its made by Sandoz too.I took it for a year and a half.It was a powerful drug.It just like whoa, this shit makes you loose months at a time, like thorazine or something.Memory was shot.Like living dead.I don't trust this crap anymore.I feel like i've been a guinea pig.
"well, I was constantly baraged with questions that made me feel uneasy and I was not enjoying the company of these men in suits for some reason and then... for some strange reason I can't explain, when I was home comfortable with my family later on I had a good trip. Wierd."
Heh. It's like giving a child some chocolate and then forcing it to watch Dead Alive and going "See?! The child is crying! That chocolate is some evil shit!"
AIDS meds. cost anywhere form $500-$1200 dollars!!! And there still isn't a cure! Why would the gov. want a there to be a cure?? It would probably be fairly cheap! lets just say... $200 for a shot! if you took it, you would be cured and wouldn't need to pay for pills and cocktails for the rest of you're life!
So many "illnesses" are killing us and controlling our debt! maybe they were created on purpose!
Every trip I've ever heard of lasts for at least 6 hours. Can you imagine someone questioning you the whole time? Not a good experiment at all. Observation would be the best source of information gathering with questioning afterwards to see what could be gathered. Inserting yourself into the test severely affects the results. No accurate information can be gathered this way.
@robsertandrewscott ur mind or spiritbody is the master of it all. if u dont acknowledge that or are scared u can be very sick. maybe even reside in hell, haha.
Scientist questioning him basically destroyed his mental state of mind and was the main cause of his nervousness. I'm sure that if they weren't interrogating him and had a much more nicer person just sitting with him and just carrying on friendly conversation then asking him how he's feeling every few minutes. Now that's how an experiment like this should be executed.
Man they're fucking grilling that guy. That would creep me out if I wasn't on anything.
And note how the one shrink decided the guy was feeling a certain way, asked him about it, and when the guy said "no" used as as proof that he did in fact feel that way after all. Only shrinks and witch-hunters consider a denial proof of guilt.
@SailorBarsoom Haha! That was my first thought too, like why are they grilling him so bad. That's not cool man, I wouldn't handle that even if I was clean atm.
Is this shit real? If so I don't get the beginning saying that they showed it to the public but the information should only be shared with those who need it for their jobs.
the guy is freaking out because hes in a small room with people who dont understand the effects of lsd, and he is voluntarily being a guinea pig in order for them to better understand the psychological effects of lsd on the human mind.
if this had been done outside in the sun it would have been totally different
I wonder what controls they used, I think it would have been more interesting and informative if the interviewer and interviewee were unaware of the drug being taken.
Loaded statements?! NO WAY! I'm sure the TV doesn't have loaded phrases (bullshit of course it does) I'm also sure that the doctors weren't using loaded phrases either (bullshit they were clearly fucking with him)
Man no wonder all the doctors thought LSD was bad, when they were testing it they would fucking roast the people they gave acid to, like an annoying mom or some shit. Leave the fucking guy alone, he is trippin' balls.
From the description " LSD is not considered an addictive drug - that is, it does not produce compulsive drug-seeking behavior as cocaine, heroin, and methamphetamine do. However, LSD users may develop tolerance to the drug, meaning that they must consume progressively larger doses of the drug in order to continue to experience the hallucinogenic effects that they seek." LOL what crap, as long as its not as bad as the reefers I guess ahaha.
i doubt he wrote that for himself and there was no way that he was gonna have a positive lsd experience under those conditions. hallucinogens are drugs in which the experience you have depends largely on the environment. of course he didn't have a good trip with two guys asking him all kinds of questions to make him parinoid in ways that would make him feel generaly uncomfortable. bad experiment
The scary part is that the scientists formulate their opinions before the experiment and know what they want for desired results. People are susceptible to being influenced while under the effects of LSD so the experimenters were making the subject paranoid. The fact that they did all this so they could justify using a new drug on mental patients and "cure" them without addressing the reason for their mental illness is "American" psychology at work.
I have one problem with this experiment. The body will naturally build up a resistance to a drug, with or without help.
