The difference is when Anon takes pictures it to illustrate something to the world at large, when the Co$ take pictures it's because they wish to gather intel on that person so they can "fair game" them into stopping their protest or to make them keep quiet about any crimes they may know the church has committed.

I know this is a funny video but it also shows the Co$ is trying hard to ID those it believes are the "organizers" for Anon, we all know Mark and Tory don't run Anon but they are stars within the movement so it would only make sense for the top Anons to be hanging out with Mark and Tory on their visit to the UK, banking on that being the case the church would be desperate to ID those Anons around Mark and Tory so they could "fair game" them and damage the Anons in the UK.
"Top anons" is a bit of a misnomer, although Co$ couldn't understand that if they tried. They know they can't beat thousands of nobodies at once, but nor can they admit defeat, so they'd rather tackle some supposed "leaders" than start to actually come to terms with this situation.
If they did "get" whichever Anons happen to be most active and leadership-oriented, they'd just add fuel to the fire and they'd have twice as many "top Anons" to deal with the next month.
I understand Anon is a loose group of like minded individuals with no clear "leaders" but even in such a group some members will be active than others and that is what the Co$ were trying to gather intel on, I agree the old "Obi-Wan" argument applies here "if you strike me down now I will become more powerful than you can imagine" to paraphrase, I just wanted to point out that while most people thought the PI was there to photograph Mark and Tory that might be his real target and to be careful.

The difference is when Anon takes pictures it to illustrate something to the world at large, when the Co$ take pictures it's because they wish to gather intel on that person so they can "fair game" them into stopping their protest or to make them keep quiet about any crimes they may know the church has committed.
One action with two different aims... which one do you think is the right one.

I know this is a funny video but it also shows the Co$ is trying hard to ID those it believes are the "organizers" for Anon, we all know Mark and Tory don't run Anon but they are stars within the movement so it would only make sense for the top Anons to be hanging out with Mark and Tory on their visit to the UK, banking on that being the case the church would be desperate to ID those Anons around Mark and Tory so they could "fair game" them and damage the Anons in the UK.

"Top anons" is a bit of a misnomer, although Co$ couldn't understand that if they tried. They know they can't beat thousands of nobodies at once, but nor can they admit defeat, so they'd rather tackle some supposed "leaders" than start to actually come to terms with this situation.
If they did "get" whichever Anons happen to be most active and leadership-oriented, they'd just add fuel to the fire and they'd have twice as many "top Anons" to deal with the next month.

I understand Anon is a loose group of like minded individuals with no clear "leaders" but even in such a group some members will be active than others and that is what the Co$ were trying to gather intel on, I agree the old "Obi-Wan" argument applies here "if you strike me down now I will become more powerful than you can imagine" to paraphrase, I just wanted to point out that while most people thought the PI was there to photograph Mark and Tory that might be his real target and to be careful.
