Cool! How would you say this Staple pickups compares to a normal p90? Would you say that over-all it's worth it to get an expensive custom staple pickup or that the difference is only worth it if you're really into the vintage and jazz game to begin with?
@GuillermoSmyser I just think they have a wider range tone wise than a P90 - more highs and more lows; a bit more 'hi-fi'. I find P90s can be quite mid range-y. I love P90s too though - more so than humbuckers... I put these on because I wanted more versitility out of the instrument. I've always found that bridge humbuckers on full depth archtops are pretty useless and I wanted it to switch between a nice bebop sound to a Scotty Moore '56 rockabilly vibe without having to redial the amplifier...
