True, I'm a history nerd so I watch the show & point out things too. The show's writers/producers have said they wanted a drama but try to stay within the major facts of what happened. I think it's pretty accurate though.
I've only seen one preview for the next & last (::cries!!::) season. I think they may age Jonathan to make him fit the role of Henry more. By the time he marries Catherine Parr, he was obese & in failing health. Either way, I look forward to it! 2010 cant come fast enough!

Henry was a meanie, but known to be a very handsome man in his younger years. He didn't get fat until he got his ulcer in his leg which caused him to quit sports and be practically cripple. Jonny looks nothing like the real Henry VIII, but that is NOT a bad thing. I love him as Herny and can't get enough of it!! As fast as they are going through history in the series, I am sure season 3 is his last season as Henry though. :( Jonny is so damn sexy... he is perfection in my humble opinion.

i think queen margaret is the most beautiful character in this series, along with henry.
she's brilliant and interesting. their chemistry are fantastic on-screen, despite of what will happen in their storyline.

No offence to anyone, but I think Henry VIII and his six wives, is a more accurate movie. I will admit I like the actors, and the series better, but I still think Henry VIII and his six wives is more accurate.

I got into the whole Tudor dynasty after reading A Jean Plaidy novel also. I read The Lady in the Tower and manages to pick up quite a few of her books. This show loks so good, but I can't see it because I don't have showtime :(

I'm reading a series with Henry's wives, and I'm enjoying it so far. I'm upset I've finally gotten into the story after reading the historical novels by Jean Plaidy, I'm reading Katharine of Aragon.
This series looks so great! Especially after seeing the season three trailer, "God save the queen".

i think this tv show is amazing. i love the tudors and i think it recreates pretty well what occured at that time. but i also think that man, it's got too many sex scenes.not that i mind but it looks as if it uses them to get people to watch it.

I recently got into this show, and I LOVE it! I am amazed at how that time in British History still holds so many people in thrall, myself included! I guess Henry got his wish of being immortal! Henry was a meanie, but known to be a very handsome man in his younger years. He didn't get fat until he got his ulcer in his leg which caused him to quit sports and be practically cripple. Jonny looks nothing like the real Henry VIII, but that is NOT a bad thing. I love him as Herny and can't get enough of it!! As fast as they are going through history in the series, I am sure season 3 is his last season as Henry though. :( Jonny is so damn sexy... he is perfection in my humble opinion.

i saw the 1st season of the tudors.......and I have to say I am so glad I live under a democratic system,henry was a bastard and a bully.thank God monarchs don't have the power they use to and toy with people.....good show though

cheese.... man, doesn't anyone care about the actual people this is based on? henry VIII was a massive, tall, fat and nasty man... very doubtful he was actually successful in seducing anyone, which is probably why he developed a habit of killing his wives... no one wanted to be with him. gross... the painters back then i'm sure tried their best to show him in his best light as well, and looking at his portraits now, he's still nasty... ick!

in his earlier years, henry was known to be very good looking and very desirable because of both his looks and the fact that he ruled england. even later, while his looks faded, he was still king

He acts very well as a King, the tone of voice, the face, everything is like having a King in front of you.Natalie, she acts well too, I mean I wanted to kill Anne Bolene, just great acting of both of them and everyone on the casting.
Theres a lot of actors on a lot of shows and movies that looks like a table, no feelings nothing.The cast crew did a great job on this show, Dragon Ball´s ones have to learn of this crew.If that guy looks like Goku Im Chi CHi ¬¬ and Piccolo is not green.come on!

this guys too short to be henry VIII, the man was 6'2 with a 35" waist at a younger age, this guy is shorter then everyone around him..6'2 is a giant in comparison with the average 5'4 of men that day in age....

jonahan rhys meyers is an amazing choice for King Henry VIII because he shows amazing strength, power and brutal feelings just like the real Henry VIII and it's amazing. Nat Dormer also did an amazing job as Jonahan

The morons that produce this show probably think it's "classy" having Mozart as background music, and that the general public is too ignorant to notice.
I suppose there are so many musical and costume anachronisms in this series that we have to be grateful their not playing rock music instead.
