I have been considering that, Im going to have to run an extension cord to the house because the garage is on one breaker. I figure it will trip when the item gets smashed, then we won't have any power to keep the compactor running

Aww, how sad. I use old P2/P3 machines all the time for things in my hosting business. (I can't tell what this one is from the video.) I hope you at least salvaged working parts and recycled the rest! :-P

I am actually running an old presario my self, I was going to use the hdd out of this one for extra storage but it was only 8 gb. I just find these on garbage day, smash em up, and put them back in my trash.

Try 2 x 4 or 2 x 6 boards layered up, they'll have the same density but allow adjustment by 1" increments!
