My buddys S1000 sounds exactly the same. Only he has the short can not the long. Full titanium too. What's this bike putting out HP wise? My buddys was 215hp then 211hp.

I know how quick shifters work but why does it make the popping sound? Is it the change in load on the motor?

Its killing the spark but not the fuel injection so, whilst your still on the throttle, its injecting 25ms of fuel thats not getting burnt. Spark plugs fire up again and ignites that unburnt fuel.

@MrJordanConnolly : The quickshifter allows you to stay full on the power and shift without using the clutch. The shift lever has a switch that momentarily kills the spark, which takes the load off the gearbox for a split second when you move the lever up... You go to the next gear in something like 60 milliseconds...

It means that you never have to get off the throttle even for a second and gearchanges are basically instantaneous.

@The80shilling 20 millisecond from second to sixed gear, from 1st to 2nd it is 35ms.

@ricerocketkev never mesured it but compare to other s1000rr (on track) mine was fast. the engine of 2010 was very good! now waiting for the 2012 model ;) we are preparing it now with Brembo GPrx4 calipers and race fairing. (carbon)

lovely sound. als ik het goed begrijp maakt zon zorgt de quickshifter ervoor dat er geen onsteking plaatsvindt-->brandstoffen het uitlaatsysteeem binnenkomen--> verbranding in het uitlaatsysteem--> bam! :D

zorgt dit ook voor een klein steekvlammetje bij da aka?

was een gixxer van suzuki voor een persintroductie. een gsxr1000k6 yoshimura (door hoegee getuned), een monster van een machine! :)
