@bubbyjosh Yes you can. The steps used here are nothing special. My use of the warp brush isn't necessary either I just prefer it to painting in the effect. The trial version of X3 is fully functional (provided you installed the patches to make it stable) so it's easily accomplished.
@LeviFiction thanks and for the shock pack thing i was trying to add it and i accidently removed all the other brushes and that shockpack thing wont add it just comes up as a error
is this better then photoshop cs5? it looks alot more advanced also looks's more like after effects whould be awsome for a fast reply thank you for tut.
GREAT JOB!!! i want to do this on a photo of my own but i only have the paint brushes that already come with paint shop pro. those dont work so well for this effect. can you please tell me where i can find the one you are using for this?
What do you mean? Here I tried to keep the tear duct in view and have the shadow seep in from under it. As if it was doing it to the eye itself that would make amongst the most sense. This decision was made with the advice of a number of different people who preferred it this way. Are you saying I should have had it seep over the tear duct as Ichigo himself turns hollow? I'm not a huge fan of the show and so I didn't pay very close attention. I'd love the hear what you think.
Yeah, i'm a big fan of the show, and the idea is that he's being taking over from some evil force deep within him that he struggles to hold in for quite a while, and doesn't completely understand. I think it would look awesome if you could do this. I know there is a picture of what i'm talking about and i will try and find it today. I think you'll like it. Sorry for being a stickler, but I do think it would be an awesome addition to what you're doing here.
Haha, no problem. Without sticklers where would we be? When you find the picture I'd love to try and recreate it. However, one thing to keep in mind this is more an informal tutorial on the basic process that I use for generating the effect. It's not meant as "the only way" or even "the best way" to do it. So that was never my intention. But I look forward to whatever you can show me.

Do you think so? It looks pretty close to the one on the episode of bleach. That's why I chose it.

the shadow seeping into the eye starts at the point of the tear duct. I know you probably don't care, but it would be cool to see it anyway
