@fffib11 I've tried both, the flip is better. The Flip may look washed, but it giver you more to play with as far as editing. If you check out my page, the feature music video was shot with the flip. Not much thought was put into it, but you will see the quality plus editing using Adobe Premiere/After Effects

I wouldnt get either. For YT videos, get a REAL camcorder. They range from $200 to $2000, but have much better video than the iPhone 4 or Flip.

I'm digging the white point balance on the Flip a little better in the office section of this review, than the iPhone 4, however it looked nice and rich with the flowers. I'm wondering if there will be a camera app with white point balancing for the iPhone, in the future. If so, then we have a winner. So far, I'm digging the Flip quality a little better. I have both, but for this footage, I have to say the Flip gets my vote. ..even tho it seems to be auto balancing.

ive been using my ipod touch for all my videos and its okay and the iphone is twice as good, but the flip in my opinion is a tiny bit better, aswell nice 355, but how can you guys have that and an accord

the iphone seems brighter but not better in any respect.

although because the price of the iphone is only slightly higher along with apps, phone calls, and several other things I'd recommend not buying a flip if you have an iphone and even if you don't have an iphone I'd recommend the kodak zi8 over the flip anyway.

you will notice that colors seem a little tinted and brighter, where as the flip is extremely clear.

Have you had any issues with the iphone constantly trying to choose the color of the subject and completely altering all of the other colors. I do agree that for a cellphone camera it is great and you can't really complain, but I'll still have to carry my flip to not have the constant color changing and just fix the underexposure at times in post-processing.

I don't understand why people think the iPhone 4 looks better. The white balance is awful on the iPhone 4, as well as the color saturation. The Flip's color sensor picks up colors much more accurately than the iPhone's, which produces overly bright and unrealistic colors.

It looks like the flip has better white balance than the iphone. I thought the flip video quality looked better until you did the close up on the keyboard. Before that I could see more detail in the flowers and the lampshade with the flip. Of course the iphone can do more than just take video, so that's where it has the edge. When it comes to Verizon I might consider it.

Night test shows terrible white balance on the iPhone4. Flip was more accurate. How could you say the interior looks better on the iPhone. It was yellow! It did not reproduce true colors but was over saturated. Some of this can be corrected in post processing with a good editing platform but you always want to start with the best film you can before processing. I have the iPhone 4 and I've been very disappointed in the over saturation at night.

@XxSoCcErxX007 As I have neither, I can be impartial in my view. As a videographer, I like both of them. But, I see both have issues. Here is what I noticed...

Colour is tinted to a warm setting on the iphone4, while the Flip (nearly the whole time) seems more true to what it's shooting. I can see a lot of overexposure on the iphone whereas the Flip handles it better. The macro focus is better on iphone, but mods can fix the flip to have a dedicated lens.

Overall, the Flip is best for video.

The iPhone definitely captures the red car cover better, and focuses better close-up, and does better seeing out towards the dark street. However, I think the Flip is better in all other cases, especially in your office shots and of the flowers close up.

@RyanKnowsTech You're right, I didn't pay attention to that. I was looking into the middle of the plants, not at the pedals close up.

Overall, IMO, it depends on what you're trying to film and focus on. I think they both have an equal amount of strengths and weaknesses. One other thing I caught, if I wanted to look at the sky, the Flip would be better because it cancels out all the other scenery, rather than making it look grainy trying to lighten it up. The iPhone does capture red better.
