I know I am going to get a lot of negative comments, but for us humans to become a true space exploration civilization, we would need to have a moneyless economy because we already have the technology to explore space (going to the moon, mars, europa, etc) but what is holding us back is money.

money is no excuse. If they can pay sports people high wages, if they can keep area 51 running, then there should be no problem funding future rockets.

@jimmyti9cer Blame lack of funding, lack of direction. The American have only themselves to blame if the are not happy with their space program.
