They didn't actually pioneer this design, a company called Guth did around the early 1900s. The Swiss just improved on it

Schönes Ding ... fürs Wohnzimmer zwar zu hässlich meiner meinung nach, daher vielleicht was für den Einsatz in einer Boutique oder so ... aber das Konzept ist genial :)
