  • I know I'm not 60 years old, yet, but that was the best T.V. series ever! :D

  • "The Judge say it's gonna be a war on crime and EVERYbody here gon do some time! Here come the Judge. Here come the Judge."

Heard that on the radio, once...

  • Fuckin Beelzebub...

  • Look at them high heels!

  • It's 2011, I'm 16, and I still find this funnier than all the sitcoms on TV nowadays.

  • Look at the heels on Sammy's shoes or boots, to increase his height. xx

  • .............................k.

  • PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, FIND THE 'LONGER' VERSION OF THIS WITH SAMMY? I'VE ONLY SEEN HIM DO IT TWICE ON 'LAUGH-IN'. THANKS.

  • I wished they would have gone on and showed the courtroom scene. The judge asked,"What are you charged with?"The defendant said,"Stealing apples from a fruit stand."The judge declared,"30 days for impersonating an officer,"and socked the defendant in the head with a pillow!

  • I'm a nineties kid and this makes me go FUCK YEAH!!!

  • Who put the pubic hair on my coke?

Here come da judge here come da judge

  • is there any footage of pigmeat on laugh in?

  • @cidedwards31a yeah, I'd like to see that

  • Ahh ahhh ahhh Da judge shall be addressed properly,,,he was the Right Honorable Judge Samuel Davis Jr

  • i know i might be old but i hope the statement is not to bold but here come the judge here come the judge

  • Here Comes The Judge!

  • Heavens to Pigmeat Martin! I remember when this phrase was hugely popular on the show & actually became popular all over the country for awhile. "Laugh In" was a VERY funny and ground breaking show. I fondly recall watching it with my siblings when I was a kid & early teen. THANKS for posting!

  • @JubalCalif i remember the joke when the man goes to court and says "Do you remember me your honor" the Judge says no who are you sir? The man replies-"I am the man who introduced you to your wife"-The judge says my wife! you introduced me to my wife- I sentence you to LIFE- ha ha

  • @curtisjones400

Ha! That's strictly from drollsville, daddy-o! THANKS for sharing that anecdote with me! Dig ya later, fellow hep cat! :-)

  • he's wearing high hill shoes

  • My father wrote this, way back in the Day. RIP, Dad, you're still makin' us laugh!

  • I love this bit.

  • Love the pimp walk--or whatever the heck that is--that he does just before he begins the rap--lol.

  • @HelmutVonSphincter Not this specific bit. Flip had a lot of funny characters in his stand-up appearances and during the run of his show, but that I remember his recurrent and most popular were (of course) the sassy Geraldine Jones, and the money-grubbing, very funny Reverend Leroy of The Church of What's Happening Now.

  • I remember the "here come de judge" fad in the late 60's. It was brief but funny. I watched "Laugh In" a lot back then. It was HUGELY popular during it's first couple of seasons. Very influential & groundbreaking show. THANKS for sharing this! Hope you have a VERY happy new year!

  • Yes!

  • Sammy was the best "guest" to ever be on Laugh In. What a great talent he was.

  • what show is this?

  • icanspitfire, It was called 'Laugh-In', one of my all time favorites, but this isn't the 'full-length' version of this ditty. I've only seen Sammy perform the full length version twice, but for some reason I can't locate the footage. Thanks for the video fnordcinco.

  • @jebeja Of all Laugh-In's guests, Sammy Davis Jr. was far and away my favorite and his "Here Come de Judge" routine (with snare drum in background) was the zany best. I'd give anything to see longer clips of it here! The only thing that comes close is where the "Judge" bit was used for a "Laugh-In Looks At the News" routine (The ladies of Laugh-In singing "What's the news across the nation" etc). I'm sure it's embedded in one of the posted 9 or 10 minute sampler clips.

  • @TheCatgirl6, Sammy was my favorite as well, and I still remember to this day there was a 'whole Here Comes The Judge' clip, and I intend to keep searching until I find it. When I do I will try my best to post it to YouTube.

  • Hehehe, Sock it to me!

  • Wasn't this a song? I remember it from when I was a kid!

  • Pigmeat Markham made a song out of it. Does anybody remember Bill Cosby having a comedy show. I'm not talking about the Cosby Show nor The Bill Cosby show where played a coach. He had a comedy show and Ocar DeGruy (Mad Dog) was on it.

  • Here come de judge! Here come de Judge! Order in the court room; here come de Judge!!!!

    LOVE IT!!! :D

  • my brother says this as my mom comes in to check his rm to make sure he cleaned it right

HERE COMES DA JUDGE!!!!! HERE COMES DA JUDGE!!!!

  • me too!

  • what show was this? i just heard this last night, and it's been in my head all day.

  • laugh in......also, they had the 50 greates phrases on tv the other night, this made like numer 30!

  • To think this great skit spawned the greatest pontiac ever: The 1969 GTO "The Judge"

  • lol 2 funny :)

  • This was FUNNY AS HELL. Sammy and Flip were AMAZING.

  • fnordcinco, Thanks for the memories, would you happen to have the 'full length' version of this ditty with Sammy? He usually only did them once or twice on the show.

  • i recall my dad reciting that "here comes the judge" line...i never knew where it came from...he did the hand movements and all!!! I also learned it was part of a motown song...ty for u post

  • i so remember doing this play in HS...i was the judge among other characters lol

  • GM even named a car after a sit com!!

  • Nova was a sitcom?

  • Fail.

  • why must you say that? its not funny

  • well, usually i would have some smart comment to respond with, but i got nothing. A good soldior knows when to serender....I serender...Good one dude!

  • I commend your decision. Very noble indeed.

  • mmm, yes, i know when to give up. It's all a matter of listening to myself!

  • Classic...

  • Who could forget!!?? Those were the days!

  • I remember us all watching Laugh-In and everyone in the family (especially my parents) busting up at the Here Comes the Judge segments) Sammy Davis Jr was GREAT!!

  • Short but oh so funny!!!

  • Now this is classic TV!

  • HILARIOUS!

    When TV was funny!

  • right?

  • lol this si the first rap ever recorded acording to wikipidia lol

  • Rubbish! The first recorded raps occurred in the 30's and 40's, and one of the leading proponents of the form was none other than Danny Kaye.

  • I'd love to see the pope do this at Yankee Stadium today. Here come da pope.... here come da pope...

  • In German, of course!

  • Same with my mom! Except mine mixes it with 'Walk Like An Egyptian' - she walk like an egyptian chanting 'hea come da judge'...:)

  • amazingly, here comes the judge was the first recorded rap in history, and led to the creation of what rap as we know it today is. talk about butterfly effect.

  • Here comes the judge rap is on youtube. You should find it and be the king of swing!

  • I have it on my favorites. It's the most hilarious thing I've ever heard. It's the only rap song I like.

  • I normally don't like rap but the "Here Comes The Judge rap is the exception. It's so funny.

  • I'll agree to that.

  • AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!! I agree completly.

  • This is not the first "rap". Watch The Music Man. It predates this by 10 years. And there's probably many before that.

  • My mom has this on her answering machine. LOL!

  • what.

  • The Honorable Judge Sammy Davis Jr . presiding , ALL RISE !

  • @Medic83301 If your buddy's asleep you better give him a nudge. Order in the Courtroom cuz here come de Judge! Here come de Judge! Here come de Judge!
