I, personally dislike hip hop that has a meaning or theme to it, unless it's a light hearted, funny one. That's just my preference. I can listen to some, but not a lot. Personally I'd take a dope beat, killer flow, a good voice and a solid delivery over lyrical content any day. I bet I could find examples of what you just preached against in any of those arists listed.
