  • This is cool! And how about Time-Lapse Photography? do you know how to do it with ANY camera? check out this device: (copy to address bar): tempusALL.bymac.org

  • why do people even dislike this? what's the point of watching this anyways if you aren't into photography lol

  • 8:45 I'm having a hard time making my "masking" work in sharping... I move the slider nothing happens, at least what Adam's screen show doesn't happen.

  • The sign in the window with alan's edit because he had auto masking on. So when his brush went over that area, it didnt select it. Just wanted to poin that out. Had the auto mask check mark not been there, the area that the brush covers would have been blurry like the rest of the outside area.

  • Jared or any one out there I just got my d3100 and I am new in photography, I need some tips on car photography, how to do rolling shots, ect...

  • what is the editing tool your using?

  • @che23lee

    Its adobe lightroom

  • i dont like adam.... i want greg back!!!

  • I wanna do this, I wanna do that. BOOM!

  • i prefer jared's style in this one, the subject is placed to the side and it feels more sporting with this photo when the graffiti really pops out..eventhough adam's was great with that short time he had

  • Wow, great edit Adam.

  • Nobody asked for the viewer ' s opinion on who ' s version was ' better ' . Polin takes an incredible amount of time out of his life creating videos , handing out free products , and recieves no currency in return . Then , Adam is an occasional guest and everyone is stating that Adam is better and should create a channel . Opinions are like anuses , everyone has them but not necessarily everyone aspires to see them . I imagine this angers Polin also , viewers stating his guest is better .

  • adam, since you had "auto mask" turned on while brushing, you made that ugly 25% sign in the background pop even more, because it didn't get masked and so the sharpness and clarity reduction affected only it's surroundings. leaving it appearing even more sharpened..

i made that mistake too when i was new to the brush tool ;)

  • Hey Jared, is it possible to make a good looking HDR photo with a single RAW file or should we take different exposures? It could be very nice for street photography (like popping out the detail and the colors of graffiti and so on...)

  • What I like about Adam, is that each time I learn some really cool tricks with LR, like pressing O for the brush tool.

  • Haha lol. "his expression was like huh?oO". I like Jared's black and white, but I also think selective colour on the would have been nice.

  • can you do a lightroom video going over how all the "most-used" stuff affect the photos? for example, i don't understand how to use the tone curving, so you could talk about it...

  • Its cool that it was taken on an entry level body with a lens that you can pick up for under $200

  • WHY IS MOST STREET PHOTOGRAPHY IIN BLACK AND WHITE

  • @MAN71S maybe because usually streets do not have great colors, they usually look dull and flat. so the color can become hard to deal with. black and white photos have to deal with light and shadow and shapes. in this photo, the shape of the breaks, parallelness of the stairs, how those things that you hold when you are going down lead your eye to the guy, etc. the color in such photo is irrelevant.

  • @MAN71S i just looks good... it makes it more classic looking... just my opinon

  • @MAN71S because there is no beautiful colours in the street

  • skype call...decline

  • N00b question, how do u quickly zoom in by clicking on the pic? Do I have to hold down a key?

  • i use the canon d40 and i love it so i really want adobe but i dont have 300 bucks just cuz i wanna shoot raw :(

  • Hey Jared, you mentioned it in a past video but I am not sure where it was, but where do you get your business cards printed? Thanks.

  • @JRayFilms gotprint

  • Jared you use a Blue Snowball mic or something like that right? I'm thinking to buy one, how do you like it?

  • @nerwin blue yetti.

  • @JaredPolin Ah thats what it is. 99 bucks. Its affordable, lots of good reviews. Now time to find a good webcam. Thanks Jared.

  • you always say inot to crop but is it to crop when you want to use a differen composition ? Becouse sometomes i get different ideas to the composition when i see the picture on the pc

  • @OngakuTurtle2 its honestly up to you, there is no rule that says dont crop ever, its person preference. With that said if you find that you like the composition better with cropping try to learn from that so when you are shooting you can see the image the way you will want it and not have to crop.

  • I'm sorry, but I don't like either edit! In my opinion, the photographer's edit is the best one. Jared just overdid it with the whole "pop" and contrast thing, and I don't like the colors in Adams edit. Additionally, I think that by cropping, you lose context and thus interest. I would have used a graduated transition or adjustment brush in order to darken the top a little bit.

  • you guys might like the song System of a Down - Boom!

  • Wouu... Really thanks for the ''I'' button :D

  • BOOM!

  • I like Jared B&W but , I learned more with Adams edit.

  • I'm liking the color edit, just because the subject (well whats in focus) stands out more, and is more centered. If it was just a shot of the stairs without him, the B&W would be great. You just lose that pop from the orange when you go B&W.

  • Jared, will you do more Fro Live Shows? I really enjoyed those. Maybe do them together with Adam or something. Would be cool. Shame if it's discontinued.

  • Hi Jared, this is my first comment on one of your vids. I just want to tell you that i appreciate very very much your job, i just started shooting with my brand new Canon T2i, and all your vids are full of advices and ideas very very good ;-) ! Keep going man !

  • There're leading lines in the photo, leading to the man in the jumpsuit. Odd, nobody actually noticed that.

  • @sk8dude9999 That was mentioned prominently during the discussion.

  • What did he do around 7:00?

  • hi Mr. Fro. :) im glad to see you move the curves and mr "fill light" which you don't wanna adjust in the past. :) glad you opened yourself for new things. :)

  • I like Adam's better, but I have to say, I think he went a little overboard with the brush tool. The funny thing is that the intention was to blur out the 25% off poster, but that remained perfectly clear. Personally, I would've upped the radius a bit (focusing on the sign as much as I could) while also getting a bit more of the orange graffiti in focus. But that's just me. Funny how watching it you notice the points where you go "No, no, no, go BACK" Love it.

  • infact they all do - meh

  • The handrail in Adam's edit looks like the dude's Johnson - just sayin' :p

  • Wow Adam is a boss!!

  • Wow... You cropped! :-P

    Thanks for the video.

  • adam won again :)

  • Hi Jared, love your videos but I thought you always say that it's ok to tweak exposure, contrast etc, but never to crop? Not hating, and I'd love a reply as I like to crop sometimes and you just did o.0

    Thanks =]

  • @TheMightyPnut I dont crop my personal work is what I always say. When it comes to editing others works I sometimes see a different composition so thats why I put the crop in there.

  • @JaredPolin Ok, thanks for the reply =]

  • slow down with the publicity Jared.... :\

  • the photographer's edit is much better because its his photo ! i love it !

  • IT's easier to just hit the X button to flip the orientation of the crop then drag down.

  • if the Fro goes to HK or Tokyo, he will love street photography

  • @JaredPolin it would be great if you did your edits from scratch, not like do it before video, then start making video&just do the same settings with just a little bit of commentary. if you want people to get better, you have to be like adam, explain everything you doing.

  • i'm really impressed with adam's knowledge of lightroom. pretty helpful

  • @evanzimmerphoto Yeah me too. He seems like such a great person as well. And he kinda reminds me of Steve Carell. It's uncanny sometimes. I'm a Lightroom novice, but really starting to get into it thanks to the great tutorials by SLRlounge. They're on youtube. Impressive stuff. You should check them out. I've downloaded all of the tutorials to my HDD so I get to keep them forever LOL.

  • What is original

  • I think Adam's edit is better than Jared's. The b/w looks a bit flat in my opinion. Adam's edit makes the orange guy really pop, I like that!

  • like the sharpening and clarity adjustment brush that he used to make the selective focus...thank you for the videos!

  • I'm curious why this wasn't captured for viewing in 720 or 1080? I usually watch it in 1080 :(

  • @WalterTramontana its still processing it says that on the video.

  • @JaredPolin i want to know how long it takes you to upload to youtube in 1080p it seems to take forever. and what program you use to do your video edits. theres an idea for a video.

  • nothing new, every edit now looks the same

I think I need a break from froo

    too much buuuum bummm

  • :D
