I'd be inclined to agree with this. Thomas always worries me in net regardless of his stats. However, the Bruins' forward depth should be enough for Thomas' play to be moot if they can stay out of the box.

The Bruins need to stay away from stuff like this if they are gonna win the series. It is well known that the habs wont fight back, except Laraque, so why take bad penaltys. Theyre are better, less costly ways to intimidate an opponent such as finishing your checks.
I think this will be a great series. There are a lot of interesting things to see. I am a Habs fan and you are correct they tend not to fight, but I don't think you know the team well - there are others besides Laraque who do it well. I must say, however, that while Lucic is skilled player, his posture certainly does change when Laraque is present. He goes from tough guy to choirboy. However, Laraque is a slow skater so it costs us something to have him there. This will be an interesting series.

I'd be inclined to agree with this. Thomas always worries me in net regardless of his stats. However, the Bruins' forward depth should be enough for Thomas' play to be moot if they can stay out of the box.
Price for his part isn't much better yet no one would listen to me last year when I stated he wasn't that good. Everyone was fixated on this idea that he was the savior and now they've all hopped off the bandwagon. As a Montreal resident, it's humorous to watch.

I think this will be a great series. There are a lot of interesting things to see. I am a Habs fan and you are correct they tend not to fight, but I don't think you know the team well - there are others besides Laraque who do it well. I must say, however, that while Lucic is skilled player, his posture certainly does change when Laraque is present. He goes from tough guy to choirboy. However, Laraque is a slow skater so it costs us something to have him there. This will be an interesting series.

And don't misinterpret what I said...I NEVER said the Bruins have never engaged in a fight needlessly...I simply said that there hasn't been ONE situation this WHOLE season that called for Lucic to fight Laraque with ANY purpose other than Bragging rights. That is not hockey. And we'll see who wins this season....remember...your team is 8th for a reason....we're first for another.

In my opion Celtic, the rank in playoff is worth only for the ice advantage. Look at last year.. all hope were mine when HABS were in first place and they crashed in second row. This year, they did'nt do well in regular season, but watch out.. they gonna wake up (it's about time). I think Thomas will crumbled. ;)

I agree that its all just a matter of getting to the playoffs..and once your there, everything is a whole different game. But dont act like you fucking habs didnt shut the fuck up about how you dominated us last regular season, so it means SOMETHING..at least now we get to talk about how we beat the fucking shit out of you 95% of the time this season. And hey...we'll see who crumbles come the playoffs...I'll be there tomorrow night in Boston ; )

i agree with you about chara, and a little bit about lucic. but now that ive cooled off from that game lol, i know that komisarek isnt a pussy, but i get a little upset when he tries to play tough with little guys and then he turtles when he gets involved with big guys. Yep I share your opinion for Komisarek. It is hard for me because he is my favorite player.. but I have to confess that I find too that he turtles with big guys. It is like if he wants to protect himself because he does'nt want to have injury. Last year, he played better. Hope he will be more implicate in playoff. ;)

Yeah 5 sounds good, Kovalev will hide under the bench the first time Lucic even comes near him. Laraque will try to pull some bullshit early and then you won't see him the rest of the series except as a healthy scratch because he fucked his team up in game 1. last year the Bruins were missing Bergeron and Kobasew. Wheeler and Recchi were on other teams and Ryder was on the other side.....pushed the 1st seeded Habs to 7 games.
This year. much stronger team....the B's have no excuses to lose.

if i remember correctly laraque was supposed to avenge the beating komisarek took. all he did was hurt montreal on the ice, and lucic scored.look he can fight yes, but so can lucic, thornton, chara. montreal loses a slugfest even with laraque there. dont be surprised if lucic or thornton beats him. only a few people can beat him but if you can tie up his left hand and switch lefty yourself laraque will be had. and looch and thornton can both do it. thornton did it to him already

laraque sucks, bottom line. he is very tough but a real fighter will beat him. the problem is that you dont have many real fighters in the game today. players have done very well tying up laraques left arm because he cant go righty, but most guys arent good enough at the strategy side of fighting anymore.thornton is the only one on the bruins that will beat him
