You basically heat up water and add a special hot pot sauce (generally very spicy, hence the name 'hot' pot), and then all the crazy little food items that you can possibly want.. beef/pork/seafood/mushroom/cab­bage just to name a few. Different areas have different flavors. My favorite hot pot was in Guangdong, but Hunan had good hot pot too.

actually i've been to those museums and even, probably, the same restaurants. yes, i went to xi'an in july this year. it was a pretty cool experience, and things there were really really cheap, especially..hmm.. taking taxis. every time i took a taxi, it cost only like less than 1 C$ while i've got to spend like 40 C$ to take a taxi here in canada. that's sort of ridiculous lol...
