  • That is legal. That is a gator roll but very dangerous.

  • Oooooo yeah thats not just illegal thats just mean. Thats one of the easiest ways to break a neck and that ref had better have called something. We call it the gator roll where im from

  • @chingon711 It's a type of an illegal headlock (the legal version must have an arm enclosed to prevent choking/neck pressure).

@EASTONWRESTLE You are correct. I've been a certified official for 16+ yrs and this is one of the MOST misssed calls in wrestling. We require our refs to get in position on a knee in order to check for this and the forearm across the throat choke that apparently a lot of coaches now teach.

  • why is cement twister illegal?

  • Check out Keith Gordon wrestling 2010 he uses it in a couple matches he wins last match with it real quick.

The version Keith Gordon does I think is much better imo

  • Check out Keith Gordon wrestling 2010 he uses it in a couple matches he wins last match with it real quick.

  • My college roommate won Juco nationals with this exact version of the mixer. Down by 3 in the semis with 20 seconds left to the 1 seed, he locked it up and hit it. He knew it was illegal, but refs usually do not have time to recognize it before it's let go.

  • Those guys are hot. I would love to rim their tight, muscular asses & deep throat their beefy cocks after a sweaty match.

  • tht is not a cement mixer

  • its no illegal that he didnt have the arm it just means hes a stupid wrestler that could mess up a easy move like the cement mixer. I use the cement mixer alot and i get people with it all the time went to Iowa for the Middle school Nationals and wrestled two weight over my weight (my weight 135) (weight class 145) and i pinned a kid with it EASY MOVE!

  • 100% illegal for proof look at 0:07 puase it

  • gator roll and cement mixer all day

  • thats not an illegal move, it's a from the front head and arm position as you can see but he didn't do anything illegal unless he just had the kids neck...but the move's name from the look of the move I'd say it's a Gator Roll into a pinning combo

  • Yo my 6yrold pulls that move all day, wtf is so illegal about that? He wasnt twirking the chin.... he grabbed his own elbow, no choke, its a pinning combo, stop whining!!! Play baseball.

  • not illegal

  • @TheWrestler115 He didn't have the arm

  • District 11 which has some of the big guns Easton, Northampton, Nazareth, Bethelahem Liberty, the lehigh valley PA is always up there ... if u make it outta there to states along with the rest of PA being an already dominant state means u could wrestle with the best

  • its legal its like a gator roll. a darce choke is when they both are standing. its jiu jitsu idk if its allowed in wrestling though. i guess ill find out the hard way!

  • yea dude i do this all the time its legal

  • that move if deffinitley legal...... my school calls it a "gator roll" and its deffinitley legal.

  • This move is only illegal in certain states. In georgia its called the gator roll. Perfectly legal.

  • It looks like he had an arm in there... pretty hard call to make in the moment.

  • Comment removed

  • isnt that just a gator roll. becuz he had him in the cow catcher sprawled and rolled

  • whats illegal about

  • this isn't illegal I do it all the time

  • this isnt an illegal move.

its called a gator roll and can be done from the front headlock.

on the other hand, it does look like an illegal headlock because hes got him around the neck

  • I am a wrestler at east stroudsburg south and I agree with a lot of this people that Easton is one if te best teams in the state fir both football and wrestling. I live to see them wrestle. I watched as this yer they win their tenth championship at district duals. Amazing team

  • that was a gator roll just sayin...

  • @Acclax090 its technically called a cement mixer, just sayin

  • @kinphooey nope your wrong (: gator roll is a cement mixer its just called a gator roll because of how the cement mixer is initiated instead of getting the hook and punching through you roll him (gator roll) into the pinned cement mixer position. HAM.

  • doesnt look very illegal, it looks like mix between a barrel roll and cement mixer

  • yea its because he didint have a arm and he was just arond the throught

  • sorry but how is it illegal? is it because he turned it into a choke then did it?

  • is it because he didn't have an arm?

  • its illegal because he was grabbing his own arm, he only had a head lock not a head n arm, right?

  • @coughkidcough1 Right! , you can do this if you grab his wrist.

  • @dustin2019 Or if you underhook the opposing wrestler's arm.

Very illegal. Could have hurt the kids neck.

  • thats legal thug-o-bee

  • EASTON BITCHES!! My son is 7 years old and he has been wrestling for Easton for 3 years. This is his third year for football also. Sports in Easton is a religion! Nothing beats crossing the bridge to hand Pburg a beating in the pit or when Northampton or Nazo come in! When they cut the lights out and leave just the one over the mat you know ITS ON!! ROVERS FOR LIFE!!

  • First of all, I lived and wrestled in Allentown PA for many years and anyone who doesn't know about Easton/Northampton/Phillipsburg tradition really doesn't know anything about HS wrestling. Their kids wrestle at a level unlike almost any other high school program, right up there with Blair, St Edwards, etc. I'd lend some weight to EASTONWRESTLE's comments.

  • thts a gator roll. its legal

  • Why is that technique illegal?

  • @greenecman he was twisting the guy's neck. your suposed to grab a hold of his wrist so that doesn't happen. Wrestling is about taking control not inflicting pain.

  • thats a legal move dude

  • thats legal, and also not a cement mixer

  • @DStack11 ask Northhampton what this moves called or rob rohn who hit it to win a natty title for lehigh

  • Legal move some refs will call a choke if the arm around the head locks at the elbow on the other arm.

  • thats not illegal u dumb shit, i did that sooo many times my junior year

  • this is def. legal...it would only be illegal if he had locked hands around the head without an arm, Otherwise you can lock an arm with the head or underhook with one and wrap the head with the other.

  • this is deffinatly legal man.

  • @danielajudson its illegal because he doesnt have an arm! u cant have a head lock in wrestling if u dnt have one of the oppenents arms

  • in this case yes, but in wrestling you dont beed an arm if only one arm is around the head, i dont know how many times i have pinned kids with a hip throw then going straight to a one armed head lock without an arm. of corse i get there arm with my other hand but not between my arm and there head.

  • its a gator roll not a cement mixer and its totally legal, i decimated a kid with that, he kept trying it on me but didnt have any idea what he was actually doin, then i pinned him with it

  • Nothing illegal about the hold. Stop whining!

  • looks like a gator roll to me

  • looks a lot like an anaconda choke

  • Legal!

  • monkey roll which is legal

  • gator roll

  • thats a twister/ gator roll. even though it looks like hes got both arms locked around the head he has an underhook with his arm. nothing illegal about it.

  • Comment removed

  • would this move other wise be called an arm triangle?

  • that looks like a gator roll

  • its only illegal for like a split second lol

  • @knightlego0 no he has locked hands with only the head thts pretty much totally illegal.

  • dude u can lock them there, u can only get called for locked hands in Referees position, on the ground or in certain pinning combos

  • not in il but i guess its different for different states.

and someone mentioned he had underhook.

    i dont see the underhook.

  • Arm is out, illegal

  • Illegal or not, the easton kid didn't deserve to win the match. Jordan Oliver was up next to finish and seal the deal on the bout. The kid had 7 seconds left and all he had to do was stay off his back. How can you not just flatten out and avoid getting turned. Poor wrestling.

  • wooo

  • ryan krecker is a really tough kid but I see what your point is.

  • head*

  • thats not illegal u dumb shit he had a heas and arm !!!

  • wtf you idiot thats not illegle, i did that to get to regionals

  • if u dont have the arm its actually horribly illegal.

  • i did that before know what ur talking about before u put stuff up lolololololol BK :)

  • Yea, thats not illegal...

  • only legal if u have an arm too.

  • thats a gator roll. its not illegal. i do it all the time.

  • iv been taught this move , its not illigeal

and its called the crocodile roll , well thats what we call it here in australia

  • we call it the gator roll, but the illegal part was that he was clasping around the head, instead of a head and an arm.

  • actually its called the vetriliquist.. lol.. fuckin bad ass

  • this move has about five names i can think of depending on the area of the world

  • people have to understand everyone has a diffrent name for every move lol did the ref stop it?

  • No, not only didn't the ref stop it. He awarded points to the wrestler that committed the illegal move. Which in turn cost the other wrestler the match. Meanwhile the second ref brought the questionable legality of the move to the attention of the primary ref, immediately who judged it (incorrectly) to be legal.

  • we got screwed out of a championship in a simmalar fashion the clock was at 0 for like 5 se c then our guy got headlocked and pined after the third was over giving the other team the win. The primary ruled it a pin and the secondary was pointing at the clock calling for the bell but all we herd was a slap on the mat. we got it on camera but the PIAA says that the ruling is final and is that Easton HS in Easton PA, the school that invented the Easton Standup

  • @lovemym16

Yes, it is Easton Area High School. Easton, PA

  • @EASTONWRESTLE How is this illegal? Its not meant to be a retorical question but a serious one. What did the wrestler who committed the illegal move do wrong?

  • @EASTONWRESTLE how is this illegal i always called it a gator roll its completely legal at every level

  • it was illegal because he didnt have an arm, he just had the head locked up

  • thats not illegal

  • thats not illegal, and it was taught to me as the gator roll

  • its original name is actually called the TWISTAR!!

  • nice move very helpful in finishing a match

  • or a life lol

  • i like penn wrestling.

  • the best wrestlers are in porterville California wev had 2 olimpic champioins and in kids wev had 3 national champs 1 world champ and a kid whos 4th in calif.

  • of course you have a kid thats 4th in california

  • lol xD, thats hilarious.

  • Sometime you may want to look at the history for Easton, Pa wrestling. Besides Olympic Gold, Pan Am etc. All the National champs, see how many have gone on to become NCAA champs. And that is just Easton. The entire area around them - District 11, has a history of producing some of the finest wrestlers, anywhere. Great wrestlers do come from other areas as well but an unusually high number come from here. Something in the water? Maybe great coaching and tradition. 62 years with a district champ.

  • @EASTONWRESTLE As a (former) PA wrestler myself, the whole District 11 area is a shark tank. Between Easton, Northampton, Narareth, and a few others that escape me at the moment, they routinely produce quality wrestlers. District 1 and District 7 also pump out some serious wrestlers but based on the size of D11 in comparison to the other 2 mentioned, D11 is extremely impressive. And I'm a district 2 guy.

  • @mpointek10 District 3 is tough also.

  • @tdheoembaesl I agree 100%. I put them in the second tier behind Districts 11, 1, and 7 alongside Districts 9, 6, and 4 (AA only). My district (2) and 5 bring up the rear historically but the number of schools is a big discrepancy. I was AA. D2 and D4 AA are the NE region. D2 has 17 schools with wrestling programs (or they did when I graduated in 2006). D4 has around 60. The sheer numbers makes it hard for us to compete with them.

  • @mpointek10 Yeah, D3 has tons of schools also, and the competition is insane. In my weight class for sectionals, I will probably have 2 state qualifiers and 2 district qualifiers (not including state qualifiers). That is crazy because the first two places are basicaly locked up. Now in D3 we have guys like marsteller, kenny courts, tyson dippery, throckmorton, phil sprenkle, quakenbos, and the peppelmans. The competition is crazy this year and in years to come.

  • @stuartwrestling1 but im pretty sure iowa is still the best

  • The east does produce the best wrestlers specifically pennsylvania.district 11 and district 3 in pennsylvania are as tough as it gets.

  • what class? like 6A or what not. not weight class

  • some call it cement mixer, or gator roll, or anaconda. but the anaconda is with a brabo grip and leads to a choke. this is just for a deep sunk half nelson

  • anaconda

  • The best wrestlers are from the Midwest

    Wisconsin, Minnesota,Iowa,Missouri

  • no iowa is good but it's pa,nj,minnesotta, ohio then iowa

  • actually they listed the top recruited states and they were pa,nj, ohio, then new york.

  • yeahh missouri

  • you guys out east have the dumbest names for moves

  • Us out east also produce the best wrestlers in the US.

  • amen

  • amen darth

  • Looks a lot like the anaconda choke.

  • I was given a cement mixer in my final wrstling match of high school....i was average wrestler had hard timebeating out 2 time all american for the spot on the team. He owned everyone including me. The cement mixer was a move i never heard of much less ever seen, and i can tell you the kid choked me before the move was finished, i escaped th first one , he then got me later in the period. This move may be done different by wrestlers but this kid gave me a front choke lock.

  • when somebody gives a cement mixer do they choke you to sorte like gain leverage or is that just part of the move?

  • WooT go Ryan!!

  • yeah i thought it was a gator roll at first but then realized he didnt have an arm. that could seriously injur someone.

  • that's not a gator roll nor a legal move. He didn't have a overhook or underhook he mearly had a headlock with both arms.

  • its a gator roll you idiot

  • gator roll is when you have the bull dog, the guy bites down on your arm, you lock with his hand and roll. if you look carefully, this guy just had both his hands locked around the guy's head (illegal) and went with it. at first i thought it was a gator roll also.

  • Thats a ventriloquist you just described..

  • Its a D'Arce Choke in MMA, I could see how its illegal in collegiate wrestling though.

  • o yea, i could see why that could be illegal.... he didnt have any arms...... the neck could easily snap!!!

  • You are correct. This sport is about having / demonstrating superior control over your opponent, not causing serious injury or damage. "Live to compete another day" Without the arm contained serious and possibly permanent damage to the neck and spinal cord could happen.

  • Not illegal

He simply had a front headlock from an underhook

he reached through with his right arm and grabbed it.

It appears to be illegal but he does have an arm

  • After close examination the refs, en mass, have determined this is in fact an illegal move. It may not appear so to you. It may not have been caught at the time but it is absolutely illegal. This situation has been used for training purposes also.

  • pause at 7 seconds. clearly does not have an arm.

  • its called a roulle or some shit some russian freestyle move

  • THAT was illeagal that lock wassn't safe,

  • not illeagal

  • Oh yes it is. u hav 2 hav 1 of the arms if u hav the head.

  • a gator roll is different that is a cement mixer and its not illegal in folkstyle freestyle or greco

  • none of the moves are illeagel unless you have the head / neck without the arm encased and lock your hands / arms. That is when it becomes illeagel.

  • That's not a cement mixer, a cement mixer is when you are in a front headlock and roll across your back and lock up a drive cradle.

That was a Ventriloquist, or some people call it a Mena, after Mike Mena made it popular.

  • ive also heard it been called a gator roll

  • same here, i use it frequently and i refer to it as a gator roll

  • ya but thats a full 360

  • it is a cement mixer. it's just an illegal one. and it is because northampton does it all the time. and they hav made the mixer famous. everyone on northamton does it. so as an easton fan i see it often.

  • Thats the worst way to lose, when you would of won but the referee costs you the match.

  • the move was illegal and its not fair that easton didnt win because it was illegal.

  • yup that's illegal. My coach showed us this move and said locking hands without and arm is illegal but refs barely ever see it... i guess he was right. more of a desperation move, was the kid that got pinned winning?

  • The wrestler that was caught in this move (Hartenstine) was not pinned. He was winning the match 3-0 prior to the move. The move was hit with short time left on the clock. It resulted in the wrestler who used the move (Krecker) getting 4 points, 2 for takedown, 2 for back points, As a result Krecker won the match 4-3.

  • i heard that jordan and kegan didnt shake hands.

    real classy...

  • Not sure that is accurate. I cannot speak for them. Jordan may not have been happy with the other team (Nazareth) after his team (Easton) getting burnt by Nazareth with an illegal move then at his weight class Nazareth had a wrestler ready but refused to let Jordan wrestle, they gave Jordan a forfeit instead. He likes to wrestle and will face any opponent. I have not seen evidence that they did not shake hands but I do not know for sure at this time.

  • u wanna talk classy? did u see/ hear all of those jerk northampton fans who were yelling in our faces. if there is one set of fans i can't stand it is northampton. yes even over pburg.

  • If it's true, it's not being talked up. Don't forget, a lot of guys don't do much in the way of a handshake, not just these two.

They are both a little mean but they are still kids. Let's give them the benefit of the doubt.

  • pardon me who didnt shake hands at the end of the match???

    2 easton wrestlers hmm?

yes i think i recall very much what happened that night

  • Illegal or not the description of this makes it look like Easton is incredibly sour in all this. Plenty of calls have gone the Rovers way over the year but no need for such comments. Have a video of some of Easton's kids not shaking hands after the match?

  • your other post was removed due to the profanity and obvious lack of civility in your post. That is a warning. Speak intelligently and you can feel free to post here. Continue to be an abuser and you will be blocked.

  • As too your comment about video after the match. Yes we have that also. You do not want to go there as just as some had tried to dispute the legality of this illegal move and the photos showed the complaints were justified. The video of the aftermath may show what you don't want seen either. Some talk, others back it up with fact. You have been warned. Lets start anew.
