  • how about asian hair.... cant really get the color to this always turns out orange

  • @wine712 When coloring Asian hair (presuming it is natural color and not colored) it is always best to lift the color lighter using a Green Base color. Green will cut the orange/red that appears in the hair. The higher the volume of peroxide the higher the lift (lightener). So, it is best to place darker hair types into the hands of a hair color professional so that the formulas can be formulated correctly. Perhaps at times it may take more than one application... but it CAN be achieved!! :-)

  • @MyBellaColorStudio I have a question...isn't it blue that wil take away the orange appearance? I will be going to cosmetology school soon and I always heard that blue is opposite orange in the color wheel and that they are complementary colors.

  • Can you show us how you did this?

    I really like this!

  • @HelloImQuin Thank you for commenting! Happy you like the results! I do not have this particular color application on video... but if you look through the other videos showing foil applications, I think you will get a good idea of my foiling work and color placement. This result most definitely uses color placement to achieve the multi-color results. Any questions, please ask.. and as I am able to film advanced foiling, I will! :-) Thank you again for writing. :-)

  • @THENAMEZSUNSHiNEBiSH Thank you for writing. The multiple colors would have to be placed into your hair. The highlighted sections can be used for the highlights, and maybe more highlights added to get the size of the "pedals" as I call them. If you show this to your Stylist/Colorist, then perhaps she/he will be able to place the colors for you. The extensions can be colored to match once the new colors are in place in your own hair. :-) Let me know how it goes! ;-)

  • would this look good on shoulder length hair??

i really like this and would love to try it out...

  • Yes, this would look very nice on Shoulder Length hair. BUT, I would not make the underneath AS dark, or not so much of it as dark due to the overlay being less - since the length is shorter. Colors would work great! Just compensate for less length by adding less dark to the nape area.

  • I have one in the editing bay... longer hair, mid length, awesome dimensional hair colors accentuating the custom sliced layers. Yummy stuff! But, it's Holiday Hair Season for me! Been super busy behind the hair chair. Yet the to find the time to edit. Poor me!!! :-)

  • Fair enough. :-)

  • Dear BobcutFan, I know you love to see those awesome shorter hair cuts, but I think that her husband would not be too happy if I were to cut off that gorgeous mane of hair! :-) Happy Hair to you!

  • i wanna make my hair like this can u tell me a way i could tell the hair stylist wat to do please tell me nice jobbbb :) love it my fav

  • Thank you for writing. The suggested hair color formulas are written at the end of the video. I suggest you have your Colorist look at this video, discuss the results you desire with you, and take note of the suggested hair color formulas provided. :-)

  • did you have to tone her hair at all? if you did what did you use please.....

  • I do not use toners as I am a big believer in a Colorist being able to achieve the desired end results with one color application. :-) Even when using multiple colors and powder bleach, a Colorist ought to know color and lightening well enough to control the results without a toner. The colors used are written IN the video at the end. :-)

  • love this look very glamorous
