  • I had to heat mine up and use a wrench to unscrew it lol, took some effort. Just scraped it and smoked some of the insides it was caked, coughing up a lung now!

  • Use of acetone is unnecessary.

This is the only video actually showing the dissambly in decent detail. Kudos

  • These instructions couldn't be more wrong. Use 70% isopropyl alcohol, soak all the plastic and metal parts in it for over an hour. Rinse well in water and they will all be sparkling clean. No fuss, no muss. Don't use acetone.

  • Response to UCHUUNEKO

You do not own a volcano.

With that being said, let me school you on your comment. No offense, but that comment was stupid.

    Solid valve cheaper long-term solution?

    1. Actually they are exactly the same full retail price of $540 USD (Easy Valve or Solid Valve)

    2. Idget it, long term solution? They work the same, easy valve is just easy. Instead of cleaning, you cut off the easy valve bag and rubber band on a turkey bag or solid valve bag.

  • Thumbs down for my last comment huh? Must of been some poor ass.

Anyway I have 4 easy valve volcano videos if anyone wants to check them out go to my videos.

  • I think they gave a thumbs down just because the solid valve is a cheaper long term solution.

If you can be bothered to clean it, solid is the way to go. Plus it looks classier.

  • U should buy an easy valve.

look under "Volcano Demonstration" and the username will be 9bag

    Great vids!

  • To answer unlabuntenga's question about the plastic material absorbing the alcohol. I've always used isopropyl and salt to clean all of my smoking/vaping apparatuses, and it's always worked great.

I can confirm that the black plastic is extremely durable and it is FINE to put it into rubbing alcohol, it will not absorb anything.

Great video, helped me take apart the filling chamber, haven't cleaned it since I got it last november.

  • what a freakin waste!!!! check out my videos do not throw that stuff out and do not use soap!!! it should all come off with a Qtip and heat. thats the best smoke that exists!!!

  • You must be one hurtin' unit.

  • It is nice... maybe save what you can, THEN clean it?

  • theres a much easier method in the part where your turning things clockwise and counter clockwise,

if you go from the bottom of the chamber you'l see that the metal component sticks out, just put some needle nose plyers on that and turn the black plastic part. works much much easier

  • Thank you so much for the video....I have just bought one a week ago and have used it everyday, 2x a day and have been wondering how to maintain it. They are great, especially for athletes who like their maryjane. Yeah buddy ;)>

  • How often do you have to clean the chamber?

I'm thinking of upgrading my vaporizer from a vapor brothers to volcano

  • I clean it every time - soak it in butter, first (this is the only reason I clean it... it's laden). But you only need to clean it once a year or so... unless you're just OCD.

  • Can the plastic parts absorb rubbing alcohol making the hits harsh and possibly dangerous. Has anyone had this expiernce when they started it was smooth to inhale but later after alot of use and cleanings it became choking and hard on the lungs ? I know temp and quality of material effect this. yet smoking does not cause these effects. Anyone with similar expiernces please reply.

  • The plastics used on my version are black, and VERY durable. I therefore believe that it probably isn't even possible for the alcohol to be absorbed... however, even if some should be, it's boiling point is ~85°C, any traces should evaporate readily after just a few seconds of drying (i.e. with the heat and pump on).

Just a theory... and no, mine doesn't taste funky at all... you might try boiling some butter out of the metal tube in the middle : )

Maybe that's making your taste funky?

  • Mine isn't digital it is an older model but has rivets instead of screws so I can't take the metal covering off to get to the insides. If I can get the rivets out (and not make a mess) I can rethread and replace with screws to make future access easier. But can't come up with a way to remove the rivets simply and cleanly.

  • The newer models have rivets instead of screws and advice on removing those?

  • Tin cutters?

But that would look bad. I haven't played with the new digital models, so I haven't had the privilege of trying to get past those rivets, yet. But rivets can usually be drilled with a medium sized metal bit, then reshot (assuming you have a rivetratchet).

  • NEVER USE ACETONE on your volcano. Use rubbing alcohol. The acetone will void your warranty and ruin your Volcano. Use cleaners like you would find on our site vaporstore dot com

  • The acetone will be fine on the metal components... Yes, I agree DO NOT USE ACETONE ON THE PLASTICS - it will void your warranty.

  • I recommend using Bacardi 151 Rum (about 75% alcohol) for cleaning. Disassemble all parts, soak in a small jar with the Bacardi overnight. Then you can use a toothbrush to scrub off anything that's left. Give it a good rinse in water and you're done. The rum is now "enriched" and just a little combined with water will work wonders.

  • nice recommendation

  • it takes me forever to clean my volcano, the oil is crazy hard to deal with

  • acetone (nail polish remover) or boiling butter for ten minutes.
