Put some fuse be twine the wires.

otherwise you get fire from short circuit.

only once the diodes in the aalternator fail. most older cars have no fuse between alternator and battery. most modern ones do though. if it gets impossible to pedal ill know there is a short. it would make a good video, sparks flying and all.
