  • so i am wondering, how does all around leaf suspension do at moab? i have a 63 cj5 i am building up, ive seen that everything on your videos doesnt have leaf springs like mines does.

  • @trannypup92 a lot of moab is big ledges and so, they do pretty good. coils are best when axle articulation is needed.

  • oh gosh what are you american fat. really all of you

  • Ползуны! :О)

  • ok whats the name of the song at the very begining does anyone know ... or how to find out ???

  • @darknessdawn78 all the songs used are listed in the credits at the end of the video :)

  • What kind of tires are most of these jeeps using?

  • @catfisher10100 toyo mt's

  • @wayalife Thank, you!

  • Hey man awesome videos just finished the series of moad. All those jeep are very nice. What video editor are you using? Great job on the videos

  • @trainingday399 thanks, we use adobe premier

  • one question have you ever driven a hummer h2? o|||||||o

  • Those are some badass jeeps. I might be buying one today. This vid makes me so excited for spring break next year!

  • also, anyone notice the licence plate at 5:19?? freggin awesome.

  • was that a chick at 00:36??

  • I was wondering if any of you drive stick, or if they are all automatic. I test drove a jk a while back, (it was a Sahara, so it has 3.21 gears as opposed to 4:10) and it was stick, and I found that the engine didn't have very much low end torque at all. I know the gears play a big part in how much torque you get at the wheel, but how do you guys feel about the 3.8? Is it half decent or should I avoid that engine all together?

  • @skidplate003 we (the big white JK) wheel a stick and yeah, gearing makes a big difference. 3.21's are the worst you can have on a JK. we are now pushing 40" toyo's and the 3.8 gets the job done.

  • @wayalife right on, thanx :)

  • Are there certain requirements for those trails.... i know going stock isn't a good idea but im getting a lift and tires soon and I'm wondering what I should get.

  • @houstonhombre50 depends on what trail you run. some are harder and some you can do stock

  • about the guy who broke the driveshaft at 5:50 , how did that jeep end up geting outta there???

  • @adanac96 we had a friend back in town with a spare shaft. we sent one of our guys to pick it up and we replaced it on the trail.

  • lol that jeeps a front wheel drive jeep now haha, hope you got it fixed to finish the trial

  • OMG I love this video... great way to start such an epic journey and makes me want to put more mods on my Jeep and get on a trail!

  • Can other people join your convoys? Even if they're not jeepers? How about some soviet 4x4's :P

  • @Dcarlsonn they just need to show up for one of our runs. we post most of them on w w w . jk-forum . c o m in the socal staging area

  • Thank you I an a ham operator. I though your radio was a ham as well. you guys go to some far and away places.

  • what is that mic set up that you have.

  • @kowz4u for the most part, we just use what's on the camera. sometimes we use a bluetooth mic as well.

  • Oops I meant the mic in your Jk.

  • @kowz4u sorry, i'm not sure what mic you are referring to.

  • @wayalife The mic in the vid at 3:03 for a ham radio or cb radio. I will be installing a two way radio soon and this looked like a clean set up. thank you for your time. Oh and like I have said be for another great vid. :)

  • @kowz4u okay, i got it now. you are looking at a standard cb mic attached to a "gear keeper". it is a retractable mic holder that you can get at most any truck stop.

  • how did you get the persons jeep out with a broken drive shaft?

  • @iconhelmets you need to watch episode 2 :)

  • Are any of you guys running autos? And if so, any overheating issues?

  • @foolsonparade we run a manual but, most of the people we wheel with run an auto. most of them try to make sure to run 2nd or 1st on long hill climbs and that helps a lot. others have installed a tranny cooler and that definitely does the trick.

  • hey there, ive asked you guys in the past about a suspension style and you said i should go with coil springs to put under my cj, would you happen to know a good brand/set-up to use?

  • @tallzdatank if you can afford it, i would recommend getting a set of coil overs installed. king makes some of the best around but fox and bilstein make nice ones too.

  • @wayalife ive been reading some things about a good spring over system by rocky road, they seem alot easier to install, and provide excellent articulation, as well as a low price, what is your opinion?l

  • @tallzdatank hard to say as i have no experience with their kit. one thing you should be aware of is that just because you have a coil over system, it doesn't mean that you will have a good ride. spring rates and valving can make or break a setup and a benefit going with an off road evolution kit is that they worked extensively with king to develop JK specific coil overs. they may be more expensive but it's worth it.

  • @wayalife honestly i dont really care about the ride, the little thing rides pretty rough as it is, and according to their website the kit does have some roll protection to stabilize it at speeds up th 75 mph, which is faster than i am willing or able to take it now anyway. i dont think i can afford either of the coil over kits you mentioned but thank you for the suggestion, if i can scrape the money together ill definatly look into them

  • Your videos you guys post up are awesome!! I have a TJ Rubi and it makes me want to come wheel over in MOAB!! Keep posting them!

  • you all have now become my most watched.....picking up an 85 cj 7 in a few days. hoping to have it ready for spring moab.....awsome vids..maybe i'll bumpp into you one day....make a tripp to new mexico........

  • Excellent Video!

  • What's that zip line deal he has on his mic @ 3:03?

  • @foolsonparade it's a gear keeper - you can find it at most truck stops

  • @3:00 is an epic shot. I want a JK so bad but can't afford one.

  • if you only watch these for the wheelin like i do, skip ahead to about 4 mins. then at about 7mins they start the "credits"

  • 5/5 nice video! I always though that the drive shafts where solid steel. It appears that they are only a simple tube. Great video! looks like fun!

  • What did you use to edit?

  • @glamisfanatic adobe premier

  • iv seen almost every place in this vid

  • How did that fellow break his axle?

  • actually, he broke his rear drive shaft and in truth, it's pretty easy to do with a stock shaft. climbing ledges puts a lot of strain on everything and sometimes, something will go.

  • oops, I meant to say drive-shaft.

  • @wayalife driveshafts (even stock ones) are actually pretty tough. I wasn't there but my guess would be he dented it on the ledge. Then, with the dent they weaken considerably (i.e. a soda-pop can) Then the torque was reapplied and whammo rolled it like a paper towel roll.

Don't ask me how I know this.......I would lie and tell you it happened to a "friend" of mine.

    Great video guys!!!!!!

  • @tomnshanna maybe but, i doubt it. we checked the shaft after the fact to see if there were any tell tale signs of a hit and found none.

  • Actually I hear the call from MOAB every day.. but i'm from Canada and it's a long run to Utah.. But one day, i'll be with you for sure. Can't wait.

    MasterG on JK-Forum.

  • Love seeing your "never leave anyone behind" attitude. Missed seeing more night driving with undercarriage lights. Keep up the good work!

  • i am a proud owner of a 1994 yj jeep, its black and has a 4 inch rough country lift and 32 inch tires with 18 inch rockstar rims, i am very interested in tagging along with yall on a jeep trail run like this, it would be a great adventure, reply and tell me details if you dont mind me tagging along:D

  • we'd love for you to join us on our runs. are you in the socal area? if not, where abouts are you from?

  • Love the Videos!! When will we see Episode 2?

  • it's being worked on now. with any luck, we'll try to have it done sometime this week.

  • i am from chattanooga, tennessee, and i am willing to travel, and s trail that would test your jeeps well is aetna mountain, search it on youtube, many of those hills and rocks will scare you but they can be climbed:)

just give me details and im there with yall all the way:)

  • Moab has been calling me for 10 years. Too bad I live in England with my Jeep.

  • well, for whatever it's worth, you can rent jeeps in moab and i have seen people from other countries come out :)

  • I am seriously considering shipping my jeep out there in a couple of years for the EJS. Nothing like using your own motor. As long as I stay there for a month or more it works out about the same as rental. And if I break something I wont have to pay the rental company for repairs.

  • I've been a fan of your channel for a while. The videos keep getting better and better. By the way, do you have any professional help with these vids or are they all your own doing? They are very good!

  • thanks, we're glad you like our videos. as far as professional help goes, my wife cindy is responsible for putting them together so i guess you could say that she's the professional :)

  • great video! cant wait to see the next one!!!

  • love the baja claw i cant wait to get mine!

  • ahhh cannot WAIT to get my jeep.

  • Awesome Vid I cant wait for the next one. Keep them coming. =D

  • Bad ass video.

  • Yo Eddie, I think it's time for a fluid head tripod for those landscape shots ;)

Not sure I'd ever trust a stock drive shaft on anything other than pavement.

  • Theres some really great shots in there! Excellent job cutting it together, it really told the story, and it was very inspirational. Makes me wanna sell my TJ and start building something i could actually travel in as well as wheel it.

  • Best video yet in terms of editing. Been waiting for a nice long video. Keep them coming.

  • haha. startin the day off right

  • Good Times! Hey it is a JK Jeep Thing. Still need to get your crew in the Swell--- Devils Racetrack.

  • man, that would be great. just gotta find the time to do it :)

  • It can happen, contact Dennis at Terra Flex he will give thumbs up reference and contact #. It is a scenic 4x4 trail with large natural arch. It is a way of life. Take care and keep up the good work. Thanks

  • sounds great - when i get a chance to head out that way again and outside of ejs, i'll be sure to do that.

  • i cant wait to get my jk. i test drove a sahara the other day and put it up on some snow banks. made me so anxious to get my zj finished too.

  • Great cars and awesome editing!

  • I have previously repeatedly breaking half shafts on LandRover Defender but never the main drive shaft - congratulations!

  • Great video and editing as always Eddie!

  • Nice work Eddie!

  • you put up the best off road video on internet !! makes me want to get a wrangler and join you guys.
