  • This or the T2i? Please let me know im about to buy one. Very informative video! Thanks.

  • @Willo3G Hey... glad the video was helpful... Without reservation, get the T3i... it offers everything the in the T2i and more... like the articulating screen. You'll be happy you stepped up to the T3i. Not sure where you are purchasing... but if you plan to purchase online, I'd be honored if you used one of the links in the video description to find your best price on Amazon. Let me know if you have any other questions. Have a great day! ~ David

  • I bought this camera based off a recommendation from a good friend being new to DSLR, great video btw! thanks

  • Because of this review I got the 600D or T3i!

I LOVE IT! It's like my new buddy!

Now using the 50mm @ S$90 lens and the cheap 3rd party flash @S$160

    (Exakta DPZ 38AF-C).

    Thanks again!

  • @DJKC897 Very cool. You are welcome!

  • T3i + 18-135mm for $1000, 60D + 18-200mm + canon bag for $1250, which one is better?

  • @bangcupid007 You'll have to decide. If you need faster shooting rates for action go with the 60D. Other than that... I don't see a reason to spend an extra $250. Hope this helps.

  • Hey David, bought the Canon 600D with 18 - 55mm Kit, along with 55 - 250 mm Lens at a discounted price which came as a promotion from Canon. Also bought a wide angle lens from Vitacom. Want to make sure the gear is complete. :-) So journey has just started.

  • @DinoDove Very nice! Congratulations! Let me know what you think of the 55- 250 lens.

  • Actually am in Singapore, so cannot buy on Amazon. I think the prices here at the Funan Digital Mall are quite reasonable. it comes out to be 1060 SGD, which is fairly 840 USD with 18-55 mm kit. Also I liked the idea of 50mm Lense for capturing images in low light conditions. Who knows, I might get that one too.

Canon is conducting complimentary training sessions for the DSLR owners. As I am begginer with DSLR I felt this might be useful. Whats your take on the training?

  • @DinoDove Yes... that is a good price. Cool... Singapore... my family almost moved there when I was a boy... but my Dad decided not to take the job. Training is very good. Free training is better!!! Go for it! There is a 3 books set by Scott Kelby for around $50 US... this is a must have set. I recommend this to anyone beginner, intermediate and advanced. These books will become your best friend and will help you go from the basics to a firm grasp of what it takes to get great pics...

  • @DSLRVideoClassroom : Yes indeed, I have been just checking out these books online..great reviews for them too. Surely will go for them. And yes will be attending the free training. Will keep you posted about my experiences. Thanks David for your valuable suggestions.

  • @DSLRVideoClassroom : Forgot to mention...Singapore is a great place. I have plans to visit near by places though Singapore is small, it has good views to capture which had inspired/lured me to buy a DSLR... :-)

  • @DinoDove Nice! Love to visit Singapore with my wife sometime. Enjoy!

  • Really useful review, I have been struggling to decide to go for a DSLR or not. Have been to the shop a couple of times , yet was not able to decide. I am now fully convinced with Canon 600D. This would be my first DSLR taking me to the next level in photography as I am little interested in capturing some good pics (hope they come out good :-)).

  • @DinoDove Glad to help. It's truly a great camera. I have no regrets. In fact, I need another one to shoot 2 camera video. If you want to save some money check out the Amazon links in the vid description... should save you at least 15% - 20% vs. a camera shop. Let me know if you have any additional questions. Blessings ~ David

  • @DSLRVideoClassroom By the way ..thanks for the quick response :-)

  • @DinoDove You are welcome. I love to help folks out! Let me know how you make out on your DSLR adventure...

  • when is the t4i gonna come out?

  • @randomrazr Canon Rumors is a good place to watch the life cycles of Canon products. They are calling for a replacement by Photokina in September. A bit of a long wait if you need a camera now.... Hope this helps!

  • @DSLRVideoClassroom ive read it was suppose to be released in february or early march?

  • @randomrazr We can only hope... BTW... what is your source? Thanks for the head's up!

  • @DSLRVideoClassroom google is my source of rumors lol

    i hope its out soon!

  • Thanks this is a great review. I am trying to decide between the t3i and 60D. Still on the fence, but leaning toward the t3i. Thanks also for link and recommendation on accessories.

  • @arizonasun19 Thanks. My decision was based on the fairly significant price difference between the T3i and 60D. I did not need the faster shooting speed... but if this is important to you... or you like the different layout of the 60D functions on the camera... then I would recommend the 60D. If not, you'll figure it out. Honestly, you can't go wrong with either camera. Canon owns 70%+ of the camera market for a reason. Blessings! ~ David

  • Can you suggest the how the ambiance setting to be selected based on indoor/outdoor/moving shooting? I mean what difference does it make in photographs based on different ambiance selection in creative auto mode?

  • @hemalsgolwala _ In general when you use any of the auto program modes you are going to get a set of pre-programmed, exposure, depth of field, white balance, ISO and effects algorithms. The best advice I can give is to play around with the camera and for your ultimate good I would encourage you to develop your photography skill set over time. Get a GREAT book on the photography! I HIGHLY recommend Scott Kelby's set. I'll put a link in the video description. His set is THE BEST!

  • Wow your review is SUPERB!

    Thanks David.

  • @DJKC897 Thanks for the Kudos! Glad you found it to be helpful. Have a really blessed day!
