@sinlapse13 No clean channel is all bad, but the TBX150H really doesn't have a nice clean channel. I'm not comparing it to Fender Twin or a Vox AC130, but I own a Blue Voodoo which destroys this things clean channel, and I'm very familiar with the Dual Rec's and Peavey 5150/6505 clean channels, and for being amps with notably mediocre clean channels, they're still better than this amp. But all that aside, the Ibanez sounds just as good on both channels, but neither are too great...

It's a missconception that Panthera is all about the scooped MID's, there's a lot going on there to get that sound, you'd be amazed how much MID's there are on that tone

@marviosantos EXACTLY. Its all in the parametric EQ's he used, he adjusted certain frequencies to cut through the mix. But yeah, I never used these cabs for more than an hour, I just thought they were funny as hell...

I later grew a pair and then added the caption at about a minute and a half agreeing that the sound of this setup is ridiculous. I was in a stupid Pantera phase and I thought I needed to scoop my mids as much as humanly possible. I've moved on.

@tcMopy You don't need to be a condescending dick, man. Did you read my captions? I'm completely aware of how unrealistic this sounds. The treble and gain is on 10 because I wanted it to sound ridiculous. And the X Mode is a mid boost bro, not a scoop. It boosts the mids in the front which tightens the tone. In this amps case, it just makes it sound really cheap. The whole idea of this video was to make it sound unusable and stupid. Next time be a little nice dude...

@connorgow ABSOLUTELY. If you have less that $300 to spend and you play metal, there isn't a better option for you. There are better amps, but not for this price. If you play anything other than metal, you might have a hard time finding a good tone out of this amp because it's designed to do high gain, and anything else on this amp but metal sounds like crap.

@connorgow I do not know about this amp (sound f'ckin huge BTW :P) But what I do know its that Randall also has some really good solid state amps mate check them out they are also not expensive and sound amazing. Cheers

@FarBeyondDriven28 Thanks! Yeah, my friend had the RH150, decent amount of gain, but it wasn't as tight as this Ibanez amp. It's probably a slightly nicer quality sound, but I'd still go with the Ibanez.

i wouldnt suggest using those speakers myself but i use to run my guitarists toneblaster through my 2 15 PA cabs. the head surprised me when i played it because it has a surprising amount of gain. also you have your mids up so high but your running x mode which scoops your mids quite a bit.

@enistheorc I don't use these anymore because the speakers themselves scoop the mids way too much. But the X mode is actually a mid boost before the gain in the amp so its like using a boost pedal in front of the amp. All it does is tighten up the amp, it doesn't really scoop anything. But I don't really like the sound of the amp without it.

@DedeAsPsichas It's partly my camera's microphone making everything sound fuzzy, and the fact that I have the treble really high and tweeters in the speaker cabinets. So it is pretty much my settings, but it doesn't sound much like this video in person.

@DedeAsPsichas Its very high gain. The amp sounds completely different through different cabinets. Through the matching cab, it sounds like a toy and very cheap, through my Celestion V30 cab, it sounds awesome, but it doesn't have the tightness that these cabs do. However these speakers sound unrealistic. So I honestly couldn't tell you how the amp sounds by itself because it's very speaker picky.
