It´s true that in the last years, central americans teams have been more complicated for Mexico, mostly when Mexico is guesting. But I think Mexico still being the best team in CONCACAF maybe USA is in the same level, but they did'n have a good gold cup. Below Mexico and USA I think there are teams like Honduras, Costa Rica. About the Azteca you're right, the U.S. team had their full squad and lost 2-1 but, remember that the U.S.A. beat Mexico at Columbus 2-0. So both teams won their home games but the U.S.A. had a +1 goal differental and +1point differental to win the Hex Group Final. In regards to the Gold Cup; the U.S. did'nt even had their bench wormers but, instead they had an MLS team that still needs a lot of improvments.
