The existance of God (or an infinite eternal intellect governing the universe) is a logical necessity. That men make religion is a simple truism. It doesn't mean that God doesn't supervise the formation of that religion & aid men as they go along. If God is loving, then he will seek to guide us in our efforts to live rightly w/in His universe.
There is an intellectual field called NATURAL THEOLOGY. The study of what can be known of God from reason alone. Look into it.
wtf? do you know that there is a three headed unicorn beyond a blackhole within an event horizon somewhere in the outskirts of the dark matter universe?? You can't prove that doesn't mean it's there-what's important is the construct has an origin from an individual(s) i.e ME. Same applies with all concepts of deities and gods they all originated from ideas and so you can't impose products of fabrication/imagination as mysteries just because they can be both negatting and non negating
And you will find no hard evidence for a God or any God in reality, so there is no proof in reality for God nor can God be reasoned to without reality. Therefore God has no place upon which to stand. God is useless and without existence or merit.
To believe in God is then to believe in spite of the lack of evidence for him so you are both unreasonable and anti-empirical. You are mad simply; But people are able to be reasonable with one thing and not with another, unfortunately.
There is a simple problem with what you say, most everything you think of is based upon an impression you have from your perceptions, from your dreams which have taken models from the real world and then run wild with them- you still have required to perceive the world to then reason. You cannot know that Jesus was a man without first perceiving the Biblical texts in reality. Thus how do you reason without external perceptions to a God?
I doubt babies reason God, shame we can't ask them.
There is no evidence for God and the God of the Bible is absolutely impossible since it contradicts the laws of Physics and is quite frankly ridiculous, I mean what a petty little God it is who orders a primitive tribe to go and slaughter another people (Cannanite's) to steal their land, or permit slavery and paedophilia?
It is not a great stretch to disregard this "God" in the same way one would disregard the tooth fairy, and anyway the claim of his existence must be proved not the other way.
awesome video. I have kind of had an enlightenment in the last year, i was always taught of fire and brimstone. but God. the God of Abraham loves all of us. He doesn't want to see us burn in hell because he loves us. that is what i believe.
God is a personal God. The right choice in belief for me is not necessarily the right choice for you. I was not open to Christianity most of my life. I knew of it and at times listened and considered but never followed. That all changed for me in Sept 2006 at 44. It was not my choice to believe in Jesus any more than it was my choice to believe in Gravity. He is now a matter of fact for me. Is He fact in yours? Maybe not. Will He be? Who knows. He chooses not me. I just tell my story. You decide
