Putting that kind of heat on a compact disc is going to create some toxic ass fumes. I too thought it sketchy with the plastic wrapped around it, which, incidentally, isn't even really toxic at all. Hardened plastic is going to have a shit-ton of extra compounds in it to keep it hard and do all the fancy data storage stuff. Think twice before you do "cool" stuff like this. Reminds me of stupid shit like putting cds in the microwave. Short term cool, long term pain. Have fun with cancer.

another way u can tell this is fake -his cd is clear, cds are not clear. maybe the protective disc but that is not a cd

He scraped off the top part- the part that makes the cd not clear. CDs are actually clear- it's simply a metallic coating near the top of the plastic that makes them shiny, to put it simply.

Scrape off the top part and it should work.
