@DritonGusia sharp detail can be achieved on a paper with a good tooth like fisher400 art paper. Dont worry about colour disappearing, some of Leonardo's are still around!! The specific papers are called coated papers, they can be coated with anything from cork to pumice dust, weights vary, my paper is 260gsm finished weight
Hi..it's an improvement on wallis as the coating allows many more layers of pastel to be applied. The paper also comes in a mid tone which a lot of artists find more benefitial than white
Hi, thanks for your comments. The paper is of a similar grit to colourfix, but the way it's applied allows for superior layering and pastel holding ability

Wonderful work...
Its brilliance makes me ask you about a problem Im having with pastels
I can't work much on details and my works look a bit too dusty
To worse, they're too fragile; Im afraid after a long time some of the colors may dissapear from the paper
I hope the paper you recommend fixes this problem
But, how are they called? How much do they weight (grams)?
Thank you!

AHH! I'll have to try this, I am NOT a fan of the pattern in paper either. Drives me insane. :)
Best,

Does the "400" mean 400 lb paper? And is it in production anywhere, because I hate the Canson "lattice" pattern too.

Nicely done. The surface looks as though it behaves in a similar fashion to Colourfix
